Alyx

A fitting title for those fixed on forging their own path, Alyx is a striking feminine variation of the Greek name Alex. From the verb aléxein, "to ward off," Alyx is translated best as "defender of humankind." Though already primed for great admiration, Alyx enjoys an elevated status as resembling "one who rescues the warriors"—courtesy of the Greek goddess Hera's epithet Alexandros.
