Your pediatrician should do vision screening during each regular well visit -- just as he/she would check your toddler’s ears, heart, and the rest of his body. Additionally, the American Optometric Association recommends a comprehensive eye exam at six months, around age three, before entering school, and then every two years after that. So be sure to bring this up so your pediatrician and/or optometrist can incorporate your observations, in addition to the test results, into the diagnosis.
