What’s the best way to brush my toddler’s teeth?
Below the age of two, simply use water and a small soft toothbrush twice a day (ideally after breakfast and before bedtime) to clean along the teeth up to the gumline, on top and both inside and outside. If he’s not keen on using a toothbrush, you can also try a clean washcloth.
After age two (or once he learns to spit) you can use a small, pea-size smear of fluoride toothpaste. Trust us -- this will be fun. What two-year-old doesn’t love practicing spitting in the sink?
