Your Pregnancy: Week 22

Real estate within your belly is getting tight, with growing baby leaving little room for your lungs to...well...breathe. Expect the huffing and puffing to start soon. There's not much room for your belly button, either -- it'll pop out any day now.

> Why are baby's kicks so unpredictable?
> Are you spending too much on maternity clothes?
> Are you looking into childbirth classes?
> See all second trimester Q&As

Baby's now the size of a papaya!
Baby's settling into sleep cycles, snoozing about 12 to 14 hours a day. It shouldn't be hard to figure out when -- just pay attention to those kicks as they start and stop.

To-do:
> Start interviewing pediatricians
> Consider taking maternity photos
> Go to your checklist

[ tip ] Think small. Eating five or six mini meals a day instead of three big ones will help prevent indigestion, headaches, queasiness, and junk food cravings.

> Chat with other moms-to-be who share your due date

> Read more about being 22 weeks pregnant

How soon should you buy the baby's nursery i am 23 weeks and i have not bought anything for baby yet.

by ange001

I bought mine around 20 weeks, but I had my twins at 29 weeks last time so I want to be ready early just in case.

by rachael

With my first two, I didn't buy til late, but with this pregnancy, I've already gotten most things bought and set up. We're ready! I'm 22 weeks right now.

by mamabunni17

I am 22 weeks, and having a boy. I am still have the "all day" morning sickness. The nausea just won't go away. I am actually even on nausea medication, but if I miss a day, the nausea and vomiting is back full on. How long will this last? I've been pregnant in the past with girls, and never had the nausea last this long.

by HeatherJP

Why isn't there any info out there for mommies to be, like me who aren't showing yet?! I'm 22 weeks pregnant, thebump isn't doing a great job in the week by week blurb of including everyone!. Everything is, "your bump this, your bump that...your belly button should pop out any day now"...So frustrating! "Real estate" is not getting hard to come by in my belly, I'm 6'1" and have plenty of room for my growing baby girl. No huffing and hard to breathe here!

by Debzmsb

Lol Debz, Im only 5'1" and Im having the same problem as you. Everyone keep asking when I'm going to look pregnant.... I bet our bellies will pop out overnight!

by Skobaby73

Debzmsb and Skobaby yall are lucky. I'm 5ft and feel like this little girl may be part amazon. i'm constantly winded and only have 1/2 of my belly button left (22wks). since i've been so tired i've tried to buy things a little at a time. we've gotten the bed and clothes, but still need a car seat and stroller. you dont want to wait to long and then be super tired!

by lizash2

What are some secret "must haves" that make things so much easier once your baby is born? From Grooming to strollers, carriers to carseats, bottles to bags...anything...it's my first and I want to find the best products with the least amount of research :)

by mikamarie33

i am 22 wks i feel little bubbles but not kicks? hope i do soon!, and my belly button hasnt poped yet, does everyones?

by tashatom12

Debzmsb- I too am not showing much. Still wearing my prepreggo jeans.

by Ensminger79

I started buying things right away..just so i could be prepared. But i would say that now is a good time to get started=]

by bamberamber13

I am 22 weeks pregnant and still haven't felt my baby kick except i think once or twice. is this normal? all of my friends have felt their's by this point

by nje2008

I am 5'8 and was really, really in shape before. I'm 22 weeks and not really showing yet either, unless you know me it just looks like I've put on 10 pounds. The size 4s don't fit anymore, but (some of) the 6's still do. The Dr. says my long-ish torso and strong abs will keep me from showing much at all until 24-26 weeks...

by sjgeenen

hey im a first time mom at 16. little nervious i get to find out the sex next week and i was wondering if, well, when the baby kicks is it normal to feel a little pain and during my lunch period in school i got hit in what i thing was my bladder and i kinda peed a bit and had to rush to the bathroom. Is that normal? thanks for all the help if i get replied to, i could really use the advice from people with experience cus my mom is a bit touchy on the subject cus im so young. Thanks lots

by murchury15

iam worry about my baby has not move for like 4 days

by megoj8326

I'm 22 weeks and just ordered our nursery furniture. Its on backstock for 6-10 weeks, so I would recommend looking for what you want and see when its available. If I would have waited much longer, there was a possibility that the crib won't make it before baby!

by megan and robert

Deborah: im in your same position, im 22 weeks and 150 and im not showing at alllll!!! its ridiculous hahaa but my doc said SOON!

by Tina562

I am only 5'6" and (was) 125lbs. I have a slight belly, but it's not cute and round like the bellies in the pictures and I also have plenty of room left before my belly button pops out! At my ulstrasound, the baby was 10.5" and 11oz, so she is just on pace to be a papaya, but I think this passage is referring to moms who are 5'0" and 90lbs.

by Stephanie0823

I'm sure thebump.com is talking for the "average hieght woman" in the united states which is 5'3". Since I'm 5' I've experienced all of these symptons, so if your taller, be happy your not huffing and puffing and that there is alot of room in your belly still. Because heartburn, not being able to breathe, back pain and a stretching stomach is hard all at once.

by ndobbs021

I would wait to purchase nursery furniture! In today's economy you can never be to frugal! I woul also look into Department stores that have lay-away plans --that may help to off set cost.

by Teamburch1

I am just about 22 weeks and I only recently started feeling kicks/movement. They really do feel like little twitches or gas bubbles so they may be overlooked. I feel them at some point everyday but if I am busy or have my mind completely elsewhere I could see missing it completely. Baby sleeps 12-14 hours a day! They dont have much time to move around!

by FirstTimeMommy2010

Everyone is different. Sometime people dont show at all! Ever seen the "I didn't know i was pregnant" series? Im 22weeks and feel enormous for this halfway mark!!!

by mrsCulkin1989

I am 22 weeks and everyone has been telling me that I don't look like I am pregnant because my belly isn't getting very big. My doctor told me that since I have a long torso, the baby has more room to grow vertically instead of horizontally. I can't wait till I start to show more!

by mrsbreivogel

Im 22wks and we are just starting on the nursery...got the layout figured out, paint figured out...just need to get started and buy the furniture.

by mblough909

I've purchased the crib already and a few little things here and there but definitely waiting until after my two baby showers to break out the real bills! As far as showing, I have a big round bump, that's the only place I've gotten bigger. I have gone up a full cup size but other than that, I'm right on schedule, according to my doc. My belly button is also about half out, I'd say. It's cute, I love it! Giving birth in the summer time is going to be brutal! I'm going to be a beluga whale by the time it hits 80 here...so not looking forward to that. but cannot wait to meet my baby boy!!

by BusyBee6109

I haven't bought anything, at all for my baby, we haven't painted or done anything, Its been kinda of hard planning for baby, I haven't had any symptoms at all or gained any weight, and I'm a short pudgy girl, so its almost like I'm not pregnant, I'm just kinda of scared to start buying or planning anything I guess

by ashlee1120

I'm 22 weeks n I still have not brought anything . I'm waiting for my baby shower to then know what i have to buy. This way i won't end up buying doubles

by hermarjeli

I'm 5'2" and weighed about 145 before baby. I have already started showing and everyday I have people ask me if my due date is right or if I am having twins. My doc says I am right on track, but I understand everyone's frustration. We have to remember that each pregnancy is different, there is no normal thing. I also sarted buying things already. I don't like to wait. We just bought the bedding and our parents bought the crib and travel system. My friends told me I can't buy anything else until after my showers!

by kermit2182

I'm 22 weeks and havn't bought a thing-trying to wai til after my babyshower....I did see a really cute crib set that I want to order.

by babybenbow

The day I found out we were expecting a girl I pretty much bought everything. I was too excited about her being a girl I bought a lot of clothes. She is our second (our first is a boy who will be 3 when she arrives, he is very VERY excited about baby sister!) so I had a crib and changing table already, but I painted it black! *murchury15* I get kicked in the bladder all the time, definately a wierd feeling! I just make sure to wear a light pad just incase! It's never really hurt, but it is uncomfortable when the bladder is full, lol.

by mallarym

I am almost 22 weeks and my belly is so tight! I feel like there isn't going to be enough skin to stretch any farther!! I just started to feel him kick like a week ago. Not strong enough for other people to feel though.

by acullen624

I am 22 wks and we have just bought everything for the nursery!! We wanted to be prepared... this is our first baby!

by sbsides

We just started our baby's room now that we found out it is a girl (I highly recommend 3D ultrasounds)! We have a ton of work to do in there though, new windows, molding, paint, carpet, everything1 We had to start now! We have our crib, bedding, and travel system and lots of clothes already (people can't resist buying us little girly outfits) As far as my belly, u can definitely tell I preggo, but she sits so low right in my pelivis, my belly button hasn't popped yet, but I suspect it will in a few more weeks and I have no problem breathing yet since I'm carrying so low. She moves like crazy though, I don't think she sleeps 12-14 hours a day. Sometimes she kicks so hard I see my stomach move and it feels like she's tearing up my insides, very strong little girl1

by susie985

im 22 weeks and barely showing, my baby is even higher in weight then most babies so youd think id be bigger but im not im only 5'7 though and i started out weighing 125 ive gained 6 pounds but idk where it is besides my breast. and my belly button is no where near popping out i can still put my finger in it. i think everyone is different i am younger then most mommies being 17 but my mom said she didnt start showing with my little brother until she was 7 months and that was her third kid.

by YoungMom2be

I'm 22w, 5'0'' and barely showing. I hope she pops out soon!!

by Taybe

I am 24 weeks and have the nursery set up (for the most part!!) This is my first baby so, naturally I am excited. BUT last year one of my friends had a baby and was still setting up the nursery the week before he was born...I think this is a good time because it's before you get TOO big to function like normal =)

by clwoods

I have an appt for a 3d/4d ultrasound next week, and they say to find something that makes the baby active....Any ideas?? Because I have not found any yet, this baby just moves when it wants to.

by LCOOPER012

Should I be concerned that a haven't felt any kick? Just 'flutters' and 'bubbles' still but nothing like a hard kick???

by BabyPics

i am 22 weeks an i get nothing but heartburn all day, is there anything that i am able to take because this is my first child and i am scared

by ahmeia2010

i got stuff when i was just 12 weeks prego.

by wiccababy

hi i am 22 weeks now and ibeen having a horrible pain on the lower right side of abdomen , is like if i am in bed and i get up i get that ugly pain or when i am sitting down and i stand up i get that pain also it feels like a ballon inside or something horrible i even limp sometimes , but it goes away by itself , i feel frustrated and i et sad cuz i dont know if this is normal like my doctor said !!!!!! is anyone going troguh this

by yuviaemabrazada

i am 22 weeks and all i want to eat is pickles and ranch..... My boyfriend says that its wierd and nasty but i love it... I have also been craving popcorn from the movie theater not in the store but from the actuall movies

by madisonleyah09

I bought my crib/dresser-changing table off craiglist. I also had a cousin give me an extra glider. This baby is lucky that he's getting nice things for free or super discounted. I say it's time to fill up the nursery, I already registered and can't wait to get bedding for the crib

by FSchep

I am 22 weeks and my son has more clothes than me already, but I have nothing it terms of the nursery yet.

by steelerchic43

when does one start feeling kicks & movement? i am 22 weeks, and have yet to feel anything. it's freaking me out...

by ramona9980

I'm 22 weeks and I have some stuff bought, but nothing is set up

by superslick123

I'm 22 weeks today, we have mostly everything ready, but it's all still in boxes since we're moving cross-country before the baby is born! I'm 5'2, I look the same too (pre-pregnancy body), but I am starting to lose my belly button. Everyone grows differently, keep in mind! The only changes thus far is I was 105 lbs, now I'm 120 :P Fat baby.

by kmeek19

If you are having really bad morning sickness, check your prenatal vitamin! My vitamin had a lot of extra iron that I did not need (since I am not anemic) once I switched to something without iron in it then my I felt about 85% better within 2 days! It is worth asking your doctor about. I tried EVERYTHING, even meds and none of it helped to ease the sickness!

by mminges

I'm 22 weeks and I haven't bought anything yet, I was told by numerous people to wait until after my shower to buy anything. murchury15- That's totally normal. It'll happen when you sneeze or laugh too, best thing to do to avoid it is pee as soon as you think you have to. :)

by theamymarie

HeatherJP Unfortunately, it sounds like you have hyperemsis, like I do. If its lasted this long, it more than likely will not go away until baby is out :( Keep taking your meds its the only way to survive it.

by CarlynHelene

HeatherJP....I had the same with my first pregnancy, a boy, unfortunately I had all day morning sickness all but 1 month, wasn't the same with my second and so far it's been okay with my third

by melissajae

I'm 22 weeks as well! I'm mostly getting stuff from family, I've only bought one outfit for her! I have quite a baby bump but It's not hard yet! I've been wondering when I should get that hard preggo belly...

by Jefisher

Hello there i am also 22 weeks prego and found out we are having a boy after 3 girls LOL we are all so excited . Just letting everyone know if you get pains at all while getting up sitting down moving around it is normal since your belly needs to stretch for the baby and don't get all up tight if this is your first pregnancy and can't feel baby move it is harder to feel when it is your first child for some women anyway's . This pregnancy for me has been a roller coaster since at time i have been bleeding on and off but my Doctor has followed up and me and baby look good so don't get panicked if you spot a little here and there also some cervix just bleed for no reason or your cervix also just can be very tender and stretching for baby if there is a lot of bleeding and dont stop that could be your cervix thinning out and there is also a stitch they can put in your cervix if they get it on time just thought i would be nice and if everyone has worries about thing's that this might help a little ty so much for your time Kristy . I hope all of the new expected mom's and mom's to be a very happy safe pregnancy and delivery on your new bundles of joy :) :).

by buffy78

My daughter is 15 years old and 22 weeks pregnant. I am very nervous with everything, her age, labor, the baby coming. You name it.. But I am nothing but 100% in her corner through all of this. We have the crib and some clothes, still have a long way to go. Hoping that we will get some help from the Dad's parents as to the nursery. But whatever "Jayda" needs, "Jayda" will get. I can't believe how fast the months are going. As far as showing, my daughter looks adorable. She is definately showing and is all baby belly and she feels "Jayda" moving all the time. For any girls that are as young as my daughter and pregnant, I hope that you have as much love and support that my daughter has. It is so hard being pregnant and being young as is, I can't even imagine going through all of the life changes with being pregnant going through it all alone or with no support. Stay strong and just keep remembering who this is all for - "Your Baby". God Bless

by kristen310

Lots of kicking going on =)

by lina59

We ordered our furniture 2 weeks ago and it takes 10-12 weeks to come in. Just something to be think about when ordering furntiure!

by junebug1131

what are the basic things i would need for my new born? im 22 weeks

by ellienida16

I am 22 weeks pregnant and I can't sleep. I tend to sleep 1 to 2 full hrs a night and then I'm up. I feel exhausted but can't sleep. I also can't nap during the day. What to do, any suggestions? I am also still on nausea medication. If I miss a day the next day I pay for it. You might notice if you miss two days you feel a little better. I'm now on my 5th missed day and I have not vomitted, I do get nausea mainly in the morning but it's much more managable.

by Arielle24

We bought ours last weekend and will probably pick up in a couple weeks. I'd like the nursery complete by mid-August that way I can organize as things come in.

by Florita626

It's about time! I am feeling baby move! This is my first so there is a chance I was feeling her before but now I have no doubts that I'm feeling my little papaya on the move. Off to registering with grandma-to-be tomorrow. November still seems like a long ways away but I know it will get here before DH and I know it and we will get to hold our little one.

by chicklit828

I don't have one single item for this baby. I hope someone steps up and can have a baby shower for me.

by seldomo19

I wanted to comment on the lady who is upset because she is not showing or having problem breathing one thing i can say is STOP BEING SILLY AND BE GLAD.My shortness of breath had gotten so bad i had to be admitted to the hospital for oxygen and trust me that's no fun when you cant get any air into your body and you get light headed because of it and am not a fat person i weigh 130 pounds and am 22 weeks, and the belly thing do you know how much clothes will cost you to be changing all the time for something you would only use once you can still where you old clothes and be a sexy mama as for me i look like a rag doll in these big shirts. So thank the heavens that you are still small.

by splexyrose

I am about average height (5'3") but was in pretty good shape pre pregnancy, so my doc said since I had good ab muscles before I will take longer to show. It currently just looks like I gained some weight, to me anyway. So it's not necessarily about your height but I guess what kind of shape you were in before and genetics play a big role also. None of the women on my side of the family got big while pregnant. Good luck to everyone

by greg_n_toni

i am 22 weeks and am a little frustrated honestly. i've felt my little girl i think twice. once with flutters and once with a kick. as far as showing- i lost 65 lbs last year, so my stomach was already stretched. so i don't look pregnant, i just look like i used to. although i am happy about my weight. dr. said i can gain 15 lbs during hte whole pregnancy- and i'm at -3 lbs. that's just from eating right and sometimes walking or swimming. i think i would feel better if i just felt the kicks and the moving. i just hope she's happy and healthy.

by goyachula

To Debzmsd... I'm right there with you. I'm not 6'1", only 5'3" but apparently there's plenty of room for baby. I'm almost 6 months and I can still fit into all my regular clothes. I've only gained about 6 pounds and our baby girl is right on track as far as growth. I know someone that is 1 month ahead of me and it looks like shes going into labor any day!

by gracia_rodriguez@yahoo.com

Is it safe to put twin in the same crib when they first come home?

by emilyh726

I'll be 23 weeks this week and we just ordered our crib. I think it takes up to three weeks to arrive! The bedding and curtains just arrived over the weekend. Can't wait to set everything up!! I think now is the right time to start working on the nursery just incase the baby arrives early, plus I'm afraid I won't have enough energy to decorate later on.

by aliengrapes

to ( Debzmsb) you should go to (whattoexpect.com)... they give way more information on you and the baby! i have the book and i go to the sight....you can type in anything to ask them and they will find other people like you and that have the same problem and explain what might be happing...! =)

by christinking101

i am 22 weeks and pregnant with triplets...naturally!!! i am miserable!! hahaha! babies are doing great though!! we are blessed!! any one sharing my pain?? haha!

by ashleykraus

I'm 22 weeks and started buying stuff at 18 weeks roughly. Having such a great time getting everything for our little man!!!

by amenocal

I am 22 weeks today and she does not stop kicking me. She moves and kicks ALL day long. I love feeling her move, but they're getting very strong. I can't imagine how hard she'll kick me in another few weeks. Ouch!!

by vickyrob

it my first, and im 22 weeks, and i dont have anything yet, but im not worried it feels like plenty of time, and it can be all bought in a week too.

by darrensgottagirl

I have got all my bases covered already...for the most part. I was so excited i started so early. But the room looks great and i just want to make sure i have everything ready ahead of time.

by sleise00

Debzmsb - LOL, I know what you mean!! My belly button is NOWHERE NEAR popping out!! I have a bump but it's microscopic. I've heard that usually the 6th month is when you really pop - I'm extremely impatient! However, I've been feeling her kick quite a bit which is a nice consolation prize. ;)

by bodlow04

Im about 22 weeks and ive started to buy but alot is on my registry so im planning to set up just after my baby shower. Hope this helps :)

by mojosiah1020

Holy crap I need to get on the ball here...22 weeks with twins

by faithjobson

I am 22 weeks and a day and we have quite a bit of things already. I just made sure the stuff we did get... isn't on our registries. Someone was speaking of abdominal pain awhile up and I was having the same thing... I'monly 5'2.5 and about 100lbs before pregnant.. so I'm pretty small. Since my stomach or uterus has never stretched out before the doc said it's round ligament stretching. When I went to the doc they did a crap load of tests and the baby and I were fine. Tylenol and a heating pad was the prescription!

by babymcnutt

ive got so much stuff and im 22 wks and were painting in a wk im a planner though~

by Garlor

For those who asked for advice, my one thing that I could not live without with my first is cloth diapers-not to use for diapers, but I had a boy and everytime I changed the diaper, he peed, so it was a good cover for him. Also, my sister-in-law had a really urpy baby and I had given her everything I had and it was really helpful for her too. They are cheap, washable, and really absorb stuff. For the 16yo, my girl right now is kicking down and that is definately uncomfortable. If your bladder is full and your baby is hitting down, then you could definately end up leaking a bit. If you feel this is a problem, or are concerned about the pain, talk to your doctor about it. Everyone and every pregnancy is different! For the girl who hasn't felt the baby kick in 4 days, it could be that the baby had moved and you just aren't feeling it, or it could be something serious. Call your doctor. That way you can go in and have your doctor put on your belly the heart sound machine just to hear the heartbeat. That will definately make you feel better.

by EvansMom12

Debzmsb: oh my gosh. i have the same situation ! i am 22 weeks now and i look like i am just fat in my stomach..not so much prego. my dr said i should have felt movement by now but i havent felt anything =/ and acording to the week by week blurbs i feel like im behind. im not up to par with each week thats going on...my stomach isnt even that hard yet..its a little firm when im standing up but when im sitting down you can feel no hardness..and thank god my belly button hasnt popped out yet !! thats the main thing im dredding !!

by xolaurenox

If you haven't felt the baby move I wouldn't worry, you can always check with your doctor. I have an anterior placenta which delayed me feeling the movement and now its a lot of flutters and such but no actual kicking that I can tell.

by grab47

I have a 2yrold & When I was pregnant with her, my belly button didn't poke out. I didn't start showing till I was 6mnths pregnant with her. Now I'm on my second child & I'm only 21 weeks long, I look like I'm 6mnths long.

by hsutherland90

im going to buy nursery items in the next few weeks, im so excited about it too!

by LISAMARIE34

We're due in early March, and our Christmas break project is her room...

by LandoWedding

im 22 weeks right now too but i havent gotten started i need to get into gear.

by mommawewe

I am currently 22 weeks n I have a lil basketball of a belly. My baby girl moves quit a bit but has slowed down a bit since she sleeps so much at this point. I have not prepared for the nursery just bubbling ideas in my head. But I have to get a move on it.

by hawtmomma

I just bought the crib and dresser, I figured it's better to set it up now then wait until you are 30+ weeks. Plus, it's good to be prepared, what if baby comes a bit early?

by mskrismor

my husband and i started buying at 20 weeks, after we found out the sex. we made a good head start on getting the nursery together and are having a lot of fun decorating!

by katyanna

Quick question. This is my second pregnancy, everything was fine with my first, normal pains and aches. But I have a pain in my left side about five inches away from my belly button. Is this normal? Or should I go see my doctor? I hate calling when its something 'silly' like a gas pain that hasn't moved because I don't want to waste their time. It's a sharp pain that just hits randomly throughout the day. The only time it feels better is when I'm sitting or laying down. Any advice helps. Thanks.

by crazedaffe

Does anyone no if it is normal for my cervic to already be opend ? iam only 22 weeks and my cervic is opened but is still thick ?

by hkershner

I'm 22 weeks and my stomach has definitely popped as has my belly button! Im having a girl and boy does she kick like crazy these days. Its definitely not bubbles for me lol, its full blow kicks. Her personality seems funny already. So excited! I can't wait to meet her. hubby and i are thinking of starting to purchase items within the month!

by Ashleytw86

I am 22 weeks and still have the "man cave" set up! It's driving me crazy. Has anyone had issues with pulled ligaments (the two ligaments that hold your uterus up) I tore my right one!! Doctor says it's because little man is so active, also doesn't help that I'm 4'11 and weighed 95lbs pre-pregnancy. I feel full to the MAX! Enjoy not having your bump yet, I can't imagine getting any rounder.

by rachelnasworthy4

I am 21 weeks and getting big! This is my second child- with my first I was like a lot of you and wanted to know when I would get my "bump". Enjoy it while you can- soon you will be huge and winded and won't be able to find a comfortable sleep position! :) But its all worth it!

by bbraatz3

I am having a boy and this week i have felt and know that he is really there....lol

by LADAYE26

I'm 22 weeks and 5'7'' and once upon a time was about 125lbs. I'm starting to get a good bit of a belly in my head but according to other folks there still isn't much there. I think I have kicks but it's more like bubbles and not like butterflies or kicks like people have described. I'm ready to buy all kinds of things for my little girl but my husband keeps trying to get me to slow down...this is all a bit crazy and would just be nice to know that one thing is normal.

by megan1015

How Soon Should I Start Buying clothes?

by Valaquis

I am 22 weeks preganant and we found out last weeks we're having a girl! My husband and I are super excited as this is our first baby! She is kicking up a storm, last night I could see her kicking through my clothes! She must be a strong little girl practing Karate or something in there! We haven't bough anything yet because we're waiting until after our baby showers to see what else we need to buy.

by jmsandstrom

I also am not showing much yet and am 22 1/2 weeks pregnant. My doc says the baby is healthy and growing fine though!

by karafleur

Im 22 weeks today and Ive been buying clothes (not anything crazy) roughly around 19 weeks. But I havent bought anything Newborn and not many 0-3 just because Im sure Ill get enough by presents and not to mention the baby grows pretty fast. I know I should wait for the shower but I figured they were items on sale and it was things that I liked in my style so might as well. Only other big item Ive boughten was the crib and Im beyond excited. I just wish my hubby was here and not on his deployment to enjoy it all with me.

by o0lozer0o

I am 22 weeks and have a nice bump. You can definitely tell I'm pregnant.. I feel my baby move all day. And she has had the hiccups a whole bunch recently. I have bought her car seat and bassinet, and a whole bunch of clothes! I have 2 boys and am so excited to be having a girl, I can't help it!

by jennifersicard@verizon.net

I'm 22 weeks today. Just found out we are having boy and we're SO excited!! I am definitely showing, gained 14 lbs so far (in addition to gaining the 7 back I lost from m/s), and I keep telling my husband how weird it is to see to the bottom of my belly button. Usually it's a black hole... Finally started feeling kicks this past week too. I think for the first time I actually feel pregnant and am in touch with my baby and body. Haven't bought any baby stuff yet, though we did get some onesies and outfits for xmas presents. Don't have the first clue what to put on the registry or what brands/styles of cribs, strollers, etc to buy. I'm sure it will all come together in the end.

by maureenjb

I ordered the furniture and it was together by 18 weeks haha. I bought a nursery in a box so it took an afternoon to get it together. Everything else we're getting handed down to us.

by lexiness1221

I waited too long last time. I would say do it now while you still feel good. I am 23 weeks and having twins and I am trying to get my husband motivated!

by 24chelle

I'm 22 weeks & I'm buying my nursery furniture tomorrow. I'm going to take full advantage of how great I feel right now - It won't last forever. :)

by MissMahi

any one else with crazy Braxton Hicks contractions? I had them all the time from my first trimester on during my last pregnancy-not so frequent with this one but they are so much more intense. it doesn't seem to matter if I am well hydrated or not-totally unpredictable, much more uncomfortable than any I have experienced before. Guess it's just one of those changes with subsequent pregnancies-hopefully my uterus practicing for a quick labor!

by mamatoria

Oh, and as far as preparing the nursery-this is my third, so I am actually getting rid of stuff that I know I won't use again. Baby's sharing a room with big brother. Totally downsizing. Buying an Ergo sling instead of a double stroller, just need an infant carseat b/c I doubt I'll fit 2 Britax carseats and my 7 y/o in the backseat of my Impreza(not to mention a double stroller in the trunk) Amazing how laid back you get about everything by the third one:)

by mamatoria

Im 22 weeks and havent bought anything yet I was told very early by nurse that i was gonna have a girl but i dont know why i have doubts so i dont dare to do buy anything yet. I have to make US from half of pregnancy after that i will start to buy things when i feel much secure about what im having. Im still same way, using most of my jeans, the only thing is my little belly dont let me close them. Still with some symptoms from ms and they drive me crazy each day. Side of that i dont look pregnant at all.

by BABYKARIM

I am 22 weeks with my second pregnancy and not showing. With my first son, I never really showed, even upon delivery. I had a friend at my baby shower (first child) who was only 5 months along, and you would have thought the shower was for her. When I went out maternity leave, a few days prior to a planned c-section due to breech - some of my cowokers didn't even know I was pregnant. It was also an easy pregnancy with no cravings, morning sickness or any complaints I always here of....and I sortof feel like I missed out on something, and since it was a c-section, I never went through cramps or labor.. This time around things are going the same way. Everyone says how lucky i am to not be showing and dealing with all of that "imbalance."

Ready to get the Baby Nursery Going

by ShaMarco2B

We haven't bought anything thing yet but I have recieved some things as gifts. I am waiting until my baby shower to buy anything because my mom has hinted around to buying me an all in one nursery set. As far as showing, everyone says I am not really that big but I feel huge! This is my 3rd though, with my first I was barely showing at this week (22). My little boy is definitely a strong kickker! I started feeling him at 16 weeks, it was very hard for me to believe that because I didn't start feeling it in my other preganancies until 20 weeks. It hurts sometimes if he kicks me in the right spot.

by joyouslove2388

hello! im 22 weeks pregnant and its my first baby boy ! and i know we are naming him Emmanuel but we are struggling for his second name. i would love if anyone has any names in mind that could help. thanks

by bbyboy023

HeatherJP- This is my 3rd pregnancy and I am 22 weeks as well. I vomit at least two -three times a week which isn't much but it seems like it this far along! I was never like this with my first two but the first was a boy and the second a girl. All I can chalk it up to is each one is different. Good luck!

by jjohnso4

I am so excited, I found out I am having a little girl, and I already have her name picked out. I have started buying some clothes, and by next month, I will pretty much have the rest of everything that I need for her.

by gemmaschenk

This is my 4th child and totally unexpected. I am 22 weeks along and have gotten just a few t-shirts for baby boy. We gave all of your baby things away as we never expected to have another. I do feel kicking, some days more than others. It seems I show more as the day goes on! I am not overly huge but not overly small either. Two ultrasounds and baby looks great so I can't worry too much. Wish I had a Doppler stethoscope to reduce some of the anxiety when I don't feel baby move but other than that it seems like smooth sailing.

by melbrandes

Everyone who isn't showing yet, ENJOY IT!! With my first pregnncy I didn't look prenant until around 25-26 weeks, just looked like I gained 10 pounds. This time I popped right around 21 weeks and I am already uncomfortable! Enjoy just being pregnant and only having to take care of you and no being pregnant and taking care of a 1 year old!! I wish I had enjoyed it more the first time instead of wishing it all away! :)

by tracyclere

Hey, DEBZMSB, Do not worry about not gaining much weight. I am naturally small and with my first pg I didn't "show" till my 7th month. My Doc went insane. I did lose quite a bit of weight due to "morning" sickness in the first 4 months. But, I gave birth to a healthy 7lb1oz baby girl. I lost the weight really fast too.

by missjessy24

Hey bumpies, We are almost done with our nursery, waiting on the carpet to be installed! Im buying the crib this week, and the bedding in 2 weeks. After that we're going to have the showers (im 22 weeks now) and then see what we have left to buy after the showers. We went ahead and started buying 1 pack of diapers a week too, in all different sizes so we're set! good luck mommies!

by sarahjudy2007

this is my 4rth baby and my daughter felt the baby and 19 weeks and 6 days..now im 22 weeks and this baby is like going to down and you can see him move with your eyes its crazy

by Mandipandie79

I am 22 weeks, im having a baby girl, and its my 1st preg. My belly isnt showing, my belly button is the same as its always been, and the kicks happen around the same time every night between 8 o-clock and 9 o-clock, and the kicks are strong enough so daddy can feel them. Also during the ultra sound the doc would saying im looking for a right hand and pop there it was and then she asked for a foot and pop theres a foot, its like my baby girl understood everything the doc was sating. And to top it off ive never had morning sickness, or the weird cravings. Does my preg sound normal?

by ReneeMarie13

I went to a water aerobics class yesterday and in my tankini was told I dont look pregnant at all : ) I'm 21 weeks and 5 days. I can see it but no one else can just yet

by cookierlr1

Debz and Skobaby, I have had the same problem. I didn't look pregnant at all for a while! Overnight, my belly seemed to grow a little and now you can tell its there. However, I still don't look 22 weeks pregnant. My dr tells me to be thankful I'm not huge yet =)

by magnoliasadie

I'm definitely showing but I haven't gained a pound. My doctor says I should worry but I can't help but to worry. I feel my little guy kicking all the time but I'm still scared about not gaining any weight. I've got 4 children at home and I swear I'd gained at least 15lbs at this stage. Somebody else please tell they're going this and the baby is fine. That'll make me feel a lot better.

by ieshabenson

I'm 22 weeks and my tummy is very noticiable...please keep in mind that everyone is different. This is my third pregnancy and they say that the more babies you have the faster you show with each one which is soo true for me. So for any of you out there on your first pregnancy I wouldnt be alarmed it will show soon. With my first I didnt start showing until I was like 6 months. I started to feel this baby move when I was at about 16 weeks now at 22 weeks the kicks are VERY strong that I can see the kicks by just looking at my stomach...he's already kicking up in the ribs which is very uncomfortable. :)

by audrey1210

so i had the gender testing done which is supposedly 98% accurate called the jack and jill at 14 weeks came back saying it was a boy and last week i had ultrasound done and now it many look like a girl. has that happened to anyone im a bit confused i dont know what im having what should i go by?

by cjvale

Is anyone having issues with their backs hurting? It's not everyday...kind of feels like a low tugging?

by msmandia1

Debzmsb I understand what you are going through! I two am 22wks and I am getting no where with my bump. Just remember that we all maybe pregnant together but all moms are different. My stomach isn't hard yet and I was so worried that something was wrong. I am having a boy, so I would love to feel like the other women that are not to far ahead of me. Our turn is coming soon, just trust and believe that our bumps are coming! =)

by mmj1010

Best ways to prevent stretch marks??? I feel like I'm stretched to the max?

by tvanes

I have my blood tests next weeks not even had a scan yet hopefully having it soon :D xxx I am 22 weeks

by treacle1993

tashatom12 Not everyones belly buttons pop out

by treacle1993

My baby girl is stubborn she kicks and kicks whenever she is hungry or believes I should eat! It feels a little like waves for me. I figured it out by playing with her and poking my belly and waiting for her to kick back. My hubby and I are bought like 3-4 cute girly out fits when we found out and the crib and rocking chair!

by nsturm85

when do your belly button norally come's out?

by ilovemisonaj

murchury15- I had my first at 16 too(Now I am on number 8 at 31, my husband is an arab and they all have crazy huge families) I totally understand about the mom thing, my mom was not always so helpful either the first time I got pregnant.. :( The bladder control gets less and less as you progress and the baby kicking in the right spot can sometimes do it, along with laughing hard and sneezing... LOL all the joys of being pregnant. As far as the pain when the baby moves that can be normal as well depending on how the baby is laying and what he or she is kicking. If the pain is extreme or crampy you should call your doctor. Good luck!!

by katie47021

I'm 22 weeks and 4' 11". I have gained 20lbs! That would okay but I started out a 100lbs and everyone thinks I'm like 8 months along. I'm huge. I can barely get off the couch without help, I can no longer drive my van (my legs were short to begin with, but now I can't fit behind the wheel at all and still touch the gas pedal). I want to try to exercise but everything, even wiping my own butt has become a challenge. The only thing I'm thankful for is that my baby boy is big and healthy in there. Anyone else experiencing "extreme bump" way too soon?

by pinquephloyd

Hey girls I am 22 wks this is my first, I feel huge but I don't look bad since I am tall almost 5'10" somedays I think people think I am just fat but somedays I look preggo, I have his room furniture and the travel system just waiting on my showers for the other stuff

by JNON5

I am 22 weeks and have already gained about 20 lbs! I am definitely showing, and have been frequently asked if there are twins in here (there are NOT)! I am very short-wasted too, so the bump has nowhere to go but out. And lets not forget about the heartburn...it doesn't matter what I eat. Fire, all the time! With my first I gained almost 50 lbs, but was back to pre-preggo weight by his first birthday. I tried being more careful this time, but this little boy in here just makes me so HUNGRY!!!

by mammanucci

i am 5.1 ish and started at 110. I am showing a little bit, but still looks like a smaller belly that most people around me. Dr said it is normal, that everybody carries differently and that I am very healthy and everything measures normal, so try not to worry. I did a lot of research already on baby stuff, since this is our first, and I want to know what you actually need and what I then want for our baby boy, because there is so much out there!

by kathyvhodges

I'm almost 22 weeks and my little girl is constantly moving. 12 to 14 hours sleeping? I don't know about that. Even my husband and dog can feel her move. I can only imagine how its going to feel when she gets a little bigger. And my tummy is definitely pooching out now. Nothing fits, I do recommend a belly band. Makes your non-pregnant clothes last longer. Does anyone have a tilted cervix though? My doctor said mine is tilted and i didn't really understand.

by keyeomega90

If this is your first and you are having a shower, I would wait until after that so you do not end up with duplicates.

by macaroon69

This is my second baby... and my other one is only 2 years old so i just left everything up for the new baby!! saves me some time!

by louiemagouie

Everyones body shows pregnancy differently, some people dont really even show at all even when full term, it just depends on the position of the baby and everything else. As for nurery stuff we just put a 5 piece set on laway, it was a really good deal I recommend it for anyone, it comes with matching convertable crib, changing table, dresser, hamper and the toddler bed rail all for 299!! My husband cant wait for anything so we already have the stroller/carrier and even the highchair set up and ready to go. I say just get stuff when you feel comfortable getting it getting it sooner will give you one less thing to worry about :)

by RubyCorenne

We haven't painted our nursery yet, but we have purchased the crib, mattress, mattresss pad, and dresser/changer along with assorted other small items. My MIL has purchased our highchair for us and my parents are getting us the pack n play. As far as everything else goes I'm waiting till after my shower to buy the remaining items. I'm hoping for lots of gift cards to put towards the remaining 'big ticket' items we need.

by CocoBrynne

My ultrasound on 3/8/11 said I wasnt 19 weeks and 5 days but 21 weeks. The baby was 14oz, is that too big? My hands also have tremors. Any opinions??

by ladoshai

No fear to those with little bellies.. I'm still looking forward to this big baby belly But I'm having a boy and I heard boys lay lower so you may show to be a little wider than actually "bigger" and if this is your first, like me, i also heard that you may not get as big as you'd think :) It'll happen though, if not now than later! I'm still loving my hidden papaya!!

by theperdybrunette

My hunny and I bought our pack n play, swing, and bouncer.. next the crib, changing table, and dresser.. after that we're waiting for the shower! i hear in the 2nd trimester you have more energy than the 3rd so plan accordingly! :)

by theperdybrunette

Im 22 weeks prego as well, still not showing, Im just looking a bit larger than normal and gained about 15 pounds that have gone nowhere from what i can see. My whole family wants to know when I will be showing. This is my second child and at this time of my pregnancy with him, I was already showing, alot.I just found out I am having another boy :( I had my heart set on a girl but oh well, God had us blessed with another lil monster lol.

by mzramona89

i am 23 weeks. WE'RE HAVING A GIRL!!!! we have everything - to the crib, dresser, changing table, Glider. we're just buying cute clothes here and there, waiting for our 2 baby showers to see what we get! so EXCITED!!!! :D

by mcilrathjj

How far exactly am I if I am at 22 weeks and some odd days, how long it that month wise? 5 1/2 months?

by amberrose08

My little girl kicks me in the bladder and stomach all the time. Her movement can cause bladder leaking, or nausea, depending on what she hits. As fun as it is to feel the baby moving, sometimes it is a bit uncomfotable. Don't stress if these occur. But do let your doctor know at your next visit.

by brycefalk

I have a few things that some friends gave me.. but did my baby's registry on Saturday so at least I have that..

by oscar83k

When should I have my prego pictures taken? I am currently at 23 weeks.

by heathertimkersey

What are you using for stretch marks? I didn't think I'd get them, but I think I saw a small one forming today. I've been using cocoa butter, but I will be switching to bio oil soon. Ant other suggestions?

by shannonfoster

I'm 22 weeks and just started planning stuff for the nursery! It is our first baby and we are so excited! So much to think about! As for the baby bump, I feel as though I popped out overnight and really started to "look pregnant" and not just like I ate too much pizza the night before! I think every persons body is different and it's gonna do what it's gonna do!

by Jennifer5678

Just about 22 weeks and I certainly look pregnant with my little round belly. I wish I could be as excited as everyone else about "looking" preggers, but I'm not. I'm still sick and still on Zofran, and I have severe back pain, some people are just lucky I guess. This is my first and I'm 32 yrs old, at 5'4 I have been 115 lbs for years and now the extra weight just hurts. I know in the end it will all be worth it when we see our little boy, but for now I'm miserable.

by alaina78413

this says the baby sleeps 12-14 hours a day, my daughter is up all the time, espeacially at night, im lucky if she sleeps 6 hours a day... this is my first baby and it only figures that she would be an active one

by mrstumminelli

just wondering when my husband will be able to feel the baby kick? I'm 22 weeks now and want him to be able to feel it to!

by ewoo1785

I bought everything at about 14 weeks which is a bit early, but I am impatient =)

by mamadegemelos

I'm 22 week have a few thing for my little boy i think its fine to buy or receive a few things before the baby shower but only if your comfortable

by babymomma20

Im 23 weeks and I think my son is going to be a NINJA,hes kicking like crazy!

by ginawolfe

Wow when I here you talk about not showing I feel like huge, everyone sees me and says OMG you look like you are due already are you having twins, I mean these are friends...Belly button has not popped but i can see the whole thing, Baby boy is moving like he is running all thru me. Always winded and mostly after eating is that normal???

by diangelalove

I will be 22 weeks in 2 days and I painted the room prior to getting pregnant as I did not want to paint while I was pregnant. I bought the crib and change table at 8 weeks along and the rocker and stroller/car seat combo at 12 weeks. We have stocked up on diapers and wipes (when they go one sale) and I have more recently boughten my swing, high chair and play pen. We are ordering the bedding tonight and we have ordered wall decor and a pink blind for her bedroom to be delivered tomorrow. My shower is planned for 7 weeks from now and my registry has more essentials (shampoo, diapers, nursing blankets, wipes, bum cream, and all the basics) I haven't asked for anything really expensive. I am a planner and have to have everything in order WAY early... I just can't handle the stress of worrying about it!

by chelle5d

baby is doing great! not kicking yet though...mommy is trying to wait patiently..im 22 weeks today my belly button popped out still waiting on those kicks!!!

by kuupuamaiole

Our nursery is complete. I am 22 weeks and having twin girls. Just preparing in case they come early or I get put on bed rest. Trying to get as much done now as I can - the things that will be hard to do once they arrive. As far as kicking - I am feeling them all throughout the day - but it feels like bubbles or tiny flutters. Sometimes I get side cramps, too, but I know that is my uterus growing. I try to stay hydrated and rest when I can!

by atlast11

I'm 22 wk and showing, but I'm definitely carrying well. I'm 5'7" and my grandma told me I would carry well b/c I'm tall. If you're 6'1", you definitely have plenty of space for baby. Enjoy not having to wear maternity clothes yet! Esp your first baby is supposed to not show as early.

by philotheosMegan

Im in my second pregnanc with a girl and I started showing at 4onths.. with my son well I was 7 months when everyone actually saw thy belly. I'm 5ft and this pregnancy is different all thy way..

by stuberquia2011

At mikamarie33 - one of the best secrets I can tell u is the baby bjorn!! I was a cheer coach when i found out i was pregnant with my first child & could not let my team down so after the baby was born she came with me to practice in the baby bjorn....they r incredible for grocery shopping too;) At Murchury15 - Get use to the lil bit of peeing...it happens with sneezes, laughter, and sudden movement!! You shoudl talk to your mother about her touchy feelings regarding your pregnancy. It's a lot for adults to handle to have a baby but for a 16 year old it's a whole other battle. You should definantly express how you feel...you need someone to talk to about all the things you are going through!! I wish the best for you & your baby keep your head up and remeber to put the baby first no matter what!!;)

by CromleyB

When should I be showing I'm almost 23 weeks and still am not showing any belly at all and have only gained 7 lbs and I will give birth in July due to his condition.

by Coralesd

im 22 weeks.. and i still really dont feel any movement.. soooooo dissappointed.. my placenta is anterior so i know that makes it harder to feel things..

by jewel_eyes03

im 22 weeks.. and i still really dont feel any movement.. soooooo dissappointed.. my placenta is anterior so i know that makes it harder to feel things..

by jewel_eyes03

We have recently purchased a stroller w/ carseat (found an awesome deal too good to pass up) and were given an outfit and a couple onesies for Easter. Other than that, we've done nothing. Planning to get down to it soon though, as I'm getting impatient. I am showing but I've also put on probably 20lbs. already. I guess she must be nice and cozy in there! I feel her move a lot too. Everyone is different though and I'm probably too big for being 22 weeks. Can't help it...my body exploded! :-)

by kribble2002

I haven't bought any baby stuff either. I was planning on getting my older daughter her big girl bed and using her nursery furniture for the baby.

by StitchyKay

This is my second baby (9.5 yrs age gap) & I was showing by 8 weeks... Everyone is different...

by eakblueeyes

I am 22 weeks and I sarted showing as soon as I found out I was pregnant. And none of my pants fit either, I had to go out and buy maternity jeans. I've already started my registry and I put the nursery on there but I don't know if my husband and I should just go ahead and buy it??? I just don't know what I should go ahead and buy and what I shouldn't.

by tngurl87

This is kind of funny. My bellybutton isn't anywhere near popping out. It never did with my twins either. Maybe they should consider rewording these in terms of "some women may experience ____." Just a thought.

by lafemmechiquita

for those who mentioned not showing yet... My sister didn't show with her kids (she's had 4) until like her 7th or 8th month. I've been in maternity pants since about 17 weeks or so. Before that, I was doing the ol' rubberband around the button to keep them closed. We're the same height, she's a *little* heavier than me, but not much (I'm no skinny minny & she's not a heavyweight person either).

by gma1918

Im 22 weeks as well but the only reason why im not buying anything as of yet is because i have friends and family that just had little boys that are willing to donate so i want to see what all will be given to me first before i start buying. I dont wanna get duplicates.

by tangia06

Debzmsb I also had terrible morning sickness that lasted 20 weeks. I was on medication too, but when I weened myself off I started actually feeling better maybe I was too dependent on it and my body didn't adjust naturally or... it was just perfect timing.

by anbedinger1

I'm 22 weeks and just found out we're having a boy. This is our first child and I am very excited, but only bought 6 onsies. My husband is going to make up the nursery a surprise for me, but I want to start in June or early July. We're having our baby shower the end of July just in case I go into labor a little early. This way we are all set and ready to go :-)

by tazdevil82

I'm 22 weeks and definitely look pregnant. I have gained approx 11 lbs so far and my doc says I'm right on track. My belly button hasn't popped out at all so I am thinking it's not going to. I've been having some serious heartburn but tums seem to help. I started my registry and ordered the nursery furniture. I hope to continue feeling this good in the weeks ahead! Half way there now whoohoo! :)

by tracylscholl

Im 22 weeks and have been having pains in my ribs daily. Would it be the baby kicking them?

by MegFlan

Last week, my belly pretty much "popped" overnight. I didn't start looking pregnant at all until I was 22 weeks! Hang in there, it will happen soon. You won't be able to wear your clothes anymore soon enough!

by joembrandyd

HI All! i'm 22 weeks with my first baby, a boy! my belly started popping out more and more this week...really crazy to go from barely showing to full bump! all i can think about are french fries... lol

by marcela32381

This is our 5th baby (4th boy) so I really don't have to buy anything but I have bought him a couple of outfits! My bellybutton is almost gone but I always get big really fast! *Murchury-the pee thing happens lol try to do kegals often it could help. And I hope you find the support you need (hopefully mom will come around)

by mamasheridan

my belly button has been poking out for a couple months now...plus my lil man was 12 oz in my 20 week ultrasound...but these are descriptions based on averages, so i can't take it too personally i guess

by NuevaMamita925

How much weight gain is right at week 22? I'm 22 weeks pregnant and everyone keeps saying I should be gaining more weight.

by Ilda Mota

I'll be 22 weeks in a few days. So far I've purchased a bassinet, crib, dresser, and changing table. I got the furniture at Walmart.com in a bundle package for a good deal. We have several clothes from people that have handed them down. I've also bought a few things like pacifiers, bibs, etc. I've gained about 11 pounds and look really pregnant. I'm 5'5" and weighed 158 pre-pregnancy.

The blurp above is talking about an average pregnancy. Not everyone is going to follow it exactly. Like myself, I am 22 weeks with twin girls. I look like I am supposed to be due next month. But when I was pregnant with my son, at 22 weeks, I wasn't very big at all. In fact, I was barely showing. Oh, and the comment about hurting when one pees, that is not a good thing. You need to talk to your doctor. It could be a UTI or bladder infection. If it's only incontenance (you pee when you sneeze or from the baby kicking you) then try to Kegals. It'll help build your pelvic muscles which will help you from that embarrassing moment. Any kind of pain you are having, talk to your doctor about. They will be able to help you.

I would look at cribs and dressers right now. I have found that in all specialty stores and some chains that they have to order the furniture. Remember, most of the furniture is not made in the U.S, it is made in Asia. The stores make the order and the factories do not make the furniture until there is a large bulk. Then the furniture is put on a ship and sent to the U.S. It will take 8 to 12 weeks after you order. So get on it girls! Good luck!

by heatherstacy

I painted, and had the crib and dresser in the nusery by the time I was 5 weeks along. I just wanted to get as much done as I could before I got too big and couldn't move much. And plus, it's my first so I'm super excited to see everything put together. As for the special little touches, I waited till I found out what I'm having...a boy, then the next week went out and started getting things. It really is just a matter of what works for you. But don't wait too long.

22 weeks and feel the baby kick mostly at night, starts around 9:30pm and ends around 1:30 -2:30am. My belly button is almost flat, only the tip of my pinky fits. This is my third child, with my first one I didn't show until my 7th month, I was 5'3 and 115lbs. My second and third pregnancy I showed about the 4th month. And each baby has had their own kick pattern, baby #1 I didn't feel kicking until month 6, with baby #2 & #3 i felt sooner. I didn't start buying stuff for all my babies until I found out the sex, we purchased swing, bouncer, all the major stuff. So when the baby shower came I got double of things i would really need, it worked out great.

every time i eat i get realy bad heartburn it doesnt matter what i eat i always get it and my partner is getting realy worried about me lol i keep telling him that its ok

by cindy234

Im 22 weeks and I havent either! We still have to tile and paint the room before we can put anything in there. I havent even started looking at baby furniture. Lol...we're still working on her name!

by katprowlr84

My first pregnancy was last year with my daughter and I didn't start showing until the middle of my 6th month and I'm 5'9". My mom is 5'8" and didn't show with my brother 35 years ago until her 7th month and then she ballooned. I am on 22 weeks with my second little girl and I started showing way early. What we need to remember is everybody's pregnancy is different and just because somebody shows at three months or their 7th month doesn't mean that your pregnancy isn't going bad. As long as you are doing what you need for you and baby then everything should be OK. As for the nursery, I started way early with my daughter last year and that was only because I already knew what I wanted her room to be and I knew it was a girl before seeing the ultrasound. This time I thought it would be a boy, but I was wrong, but we have a theme already and can't really set up her nursery as my daughter and I live with my parents here in New Mexico while my husband is in Iraq and I can finish my Master's Degree and not work. Good Luck to everybody!!

by kuuipomikala

Oh I forgot one more thing. Not everybody's belly button pops out during pregnancy, so I don't think people should expect it to happen to them.

by kuuipomikala

Im 22 weeks pregnant with my first baby boy. I am not showing at all. I am just wondering when I am going to actually start having a belly. The thing is though is that I have the all day nausea and i vomit at least once a day. It was a lot worse in the 1st trimester but I just wish the vomiting would go away. I ended up losing 15 lbs in the 1st trimester because of it. Is anybody having the same problems as me?

by Lunababy2332

I'm 22 weeks - just really started to show off a little bump. I feel baby move now a LOT and it's the only thing that's cheered me up lately. Just the other day I saw baby move through my skin for the first time. It made me so happy I cried.. but, other than that I feel sad almost all the time. Is it normal to feel so blue? I've talked to my doctor and he wants me to go to counseling but I work 6 days a week 2nd shift and don't really have a support system to lean on.

by aeseger

I live in NC and we are going to Florida for a week in June. I have never vacationed while pregnant and would like to know what are some of the best tips for being in the intense heat while pregnant. I am just over 22 weeks now. We are taking our 4 yr old to Disney for 3 days of the 7 we are in Florida. Advice???

by PANKPANK

I couldn't resist. I already have my nursery set up. We bought little things here and there. We have all the essentials for the nursery but no decorations or anything like that just yet. I am 21 and 1/2 weeks pregnant. I just wanted to feel a little more prepared somehow (if that's even possible!). Congrats! My best advise to you is to set up the nursery when you feel ready to. Wether it's a one day or one weekend event for you or a prolonged process like mine is. See how you feel about it and go with what feels right.

To Debzmsb: SInce you are so tall your baby has lots more room to grow than a woman of what has been deemed as average hieght. Which these article's are geared towards. You probably wont start to show until you are about 7 mths pregnant or more. I had a friend who is 5' 9" tall, when she was 8mths pregnant she looked only about 5mth. Her baby was right on track growing wise and was healthly when born. As long as your doctor is satisfied with your baby's growth than you should be too. You, your family, friends, and your doctor know how far along you are. Share with them your frustrations, they will be able to best sympatsize with you. Upside you can continue to wear your normal clothes for a long time and save on that expense.

by musickrys

I'm 5'4'' and started out at 110lbs. At 22wks my belly is very tight and my belly button is so stretched it's actually tender. However, I have a very short torso, so I assume that's why my belly is bigger than some. Baby girl has had very little room to grow. I've gained about 15 lbs, which the doctor says is fine but I'm starting to worry that it may have been too much too early.

by kaskanse

I am 5'0 and you can sure see my belly it is out there and I am having a boy and he moves like crazy.

by LovelyChika

Need some advice about manual breast pumps. I was wondering whats the best brand to go with??

by Saraskywalker91

@Debzmsb and Skobaby - with my first baby I was 120 lbs when I got pregnant - and didn't show until after I was 22 weeks - I was only a week further along in the calendar year from my current pregnancy (and both girls!) and have pictures where I had a flat tummy on Memorial day weekend - I got married 4th of July weekend and was carrying a basketball - in that month my waist went from a size 4 to size 14 - luckily, it was just the waist!

by suzienrob2009

I'm 22 weeks with twins, feel HUGE!! belly button is about to pop out. i'm 5'6" and weighed about 130 pounds before i got pregnant. i have been able to feel their kicks for about 2 weeks and just this past week, i could feel them from the outside. of course, twins are different, but in good time. oh and i just started feeling winded this past weekend.

by huntingwife9509

I purchased our furniture for our nursery when it was on sale at baby's r us! I was only 16 weeks then but saved so much money! And they r holding on to it until I am ready to pick it up! And for those who aren't showing yet and have lots of room for your baby to grow...embrace it! Im 22 weeks with twins and 5'7'' and have a long torso but its getting harder to breath! Good luck everyone! So exciting!

by tleslin3

I am a first timer at 22 weeks and a day today and my belly button has been popped for weeks now! lol, I started feeling movement at 15 1/2 weeks and the bump is defiantly growing! I am 5'8 and originally about 150 lbs.- I've gained about 12 lbs. so far. I think everyone's body's are different, so you can't really compare another pregnancies progress to your own! I've been sooo exhausted and drained between the heat and the pregnancy lately blah! ohhhh and did I mention hungry hungry hungry!

by bsmales

I am 22 weeks today and I have been feeling her kick more and more lately. I think I even felt her hiccup! It was totally different than what I have been feeling when she moves. Either way, taking it day by day and loving my pregnancy. The more positive you are the easier the rest of the weeks will be!

by cata610

@Debzmsb; Every woman is different...just MOST women have popped out already. I can sympathize with you (I'm just now starting to bulge a little at 22 weeks at 5'2" and no belly button popping either) I had a peanut shaped tummy with my first boy. When I was due I looked more like 6 months pregnant. Never lost my waist, never gained any weight, and never got stretchmarks either. It's turning out to be the same with my second boy so far. I hope you pick and chose what you take away from this site for useful information. And good luck!

by sweet_lilly_luna@yahoo.com

I would order soon. If they have to specially order something it may take a while. Mine is going to take 8-12 weeks. I am 22 weeks along

by ericasalber

I'm 22 weeks pregnant and although I feel my little one all the time I dont look pregnant lol. I think it will just happen overnight :)

by drgomez213

I'm so tired...worse than in my first trimester. I have eat/sleep cycles when I'm awake long enough to eat then I completely pass out and no one can wake me up. I'm more active in the mornings so far, going for walks with my pregnant friend, but pretty much after that I'm passed out. I was really looking forward to more energy this trimester.

by sweet_lilly_luna@yahoo.com

HeatherJP: Unfortunately morning sickness is different for every woman and every pregnancy. With my son, I had morning sickness at least 5 times a week until 2 days before I went into labor! Now I'm pregnant with my daughter and I still have morning sickness at 22 weeks, but it has started to slow down. I would just talk to your doctor about it. If they aren't concerned, then I wouldn't be either. It's just one of those "wonderful" sacrifices we make to bring life into the world!

by sweetiepopB

We have decided not to find out the sex this time! So excited! I know with my first baby the nursery does not get used until the baby is about 3 months old so we have no rush to get it together! We are going to meet this little bundle first then pick a nursery theme!

by jschub

I am 22 weeks and just was asked if I am having twins! Reading your posts are making me feel way to big but my doctor says I am fine.

by ElizaNoel

I am 22 weeks pregnant and going for our ultrasound tomorrow. My husband and I had previously decided to not find out the sex of the baby, we wanted a surprise, we even have started buying a few gender neutral outfits. But this morning he told me that he may want to find out afterall. I still think a surprise would be neat but I feel like he has an equal share in it. I guess im jiust gonna go with whatever he wants.

by DawnJ77

I started feelng my little man at 16 weeks, now at 22 weeks full on zumba marathon. His favourite move? Kicking my bladder haha. As for the nursery have bought clothes, a dresser, etc but need to relocate housing (we live with 3 other people) and then find well priced furniture. Very frustrating not being prepared as of yet

by SaphieCakes

I am 22 weeks with twin baby girls :) I cannot.deny my pregnancy although people still tell me Im small. My belly button is half way out :) I've been feeling them move undeniably since 18 weeks! I can even stare at my belly and watch it move. So amazing :)

by aprattib

This week, we are going to start on the babies room. I have to find the right paint for the theme we have picked. We are also replacing flooring because we had cats and the room stinks and the carpet is stained.I want to get all this done before I dont want to do anything anymore! Getting excited!

by MandaLyn15

I'm 22 weeks and im soooo small still i've only gained about 8 or 9 lbs so im hoping that im gaining enough for the baby and just nothing extra? im a waitress so im constantly on the move 3 or 4 days of the week so i get good exercise

by mamabritt0526

dont feel bad angel i have nothing for my little man yet either and i am 22 weeks prego. its driving me nuts!

by cherhayes

With my first, we started getting the nursery ready as soon as we found out the sex of the baby, went to lowes the same day and got the paint and by the next week the room was finished :) This time around we are having another boy so we are moving the older boy to a new room with things he likes now

by child of the 80's

I am 22 weeks as of yesterday and I have already even had my shower... I did have my shower a little early but i am hopefully getting my own place with my husband soon. which will be great because me and my husband are living out of a bedroom that we cant even fit in. so I cant wait to hopefully get this place and begin starting the nursery!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

by ashleypatron

I am 22wks and I have just been buying little by little as I go along. I wrote out a list of the things I want and started checking them off as I go along

by tcolston10

Am so sad. I have gain about 20 lbs. and am so stress about my gained weight.

by 3rdbabycastellanos

Is it just my baby or are all babies very active at only 20-22 wks?

by mamanichole26

I am 22 weeks and look like I am 30, my belly is huge, and hard, I should post a pic...I am 5'1". I just bought 3 outfits for baby, otherwise nothing, this is my 4th baby, and have a crib etc for the little guy! =)

by HStarin09

I am 22 weeks and all ready a Mom of 2. I am exhausted all of the time and have a very hard time breathing. I am 5'1" and very short torso so the baby is in my bladder and my lungs. I have been having the strangest dreams and an even harder time sleeping. We are not finding out what we are having and very excited about it. We have the nursery set up all ready because my DD is still in it for at least another month then we move her to her new room, once its ready. Good Luck to all of the other Mommies and Mommies to be out there!!!!

by andrea_salzmann08

I HAVE NOT BOUGHT ANYTHING AND I'M 22 WEEKS AND I'M HAVING A BABY SHOWER LIKE 3 WEEKS BEFORE BABY GETS HERE. DO YOU BELIEVE THAT'S ENOUGH TIME TO GET EVERYTHING THAT I DON'T GET AT MY BABY SHOWER?

by pcochrn88

I havent bought anything yet except for a few cute lil outfits. Most of the nursery stuff is on my registry so I'll wait til after my shower to fill in what is needed.

by KristinBella

I am 22 weeks now and I am showing some. I am 5'4 and slightly overweight. Depending on what I wear it either looks like I'm pregnant or I have just put on some belly weight (for someone who is a little heavy I have NEVER had a belly. Its always been flat). Now my belly is starting to catch up with my hips and thighs (sad day). I have gotten some stretch marks now as well. I can feel my baby girl move on occasion. Sometimes more than others. I wish she would be a little more active! Sounds like she is already too much like her mommy and daddy, lol. I don't know how to judge whether or not my belly button is popping out. I don't typically pay too much attention to how deep it is normally, lol. I also have not bought anything yet or painted, although I am dying to! Baby stuff is rather pricey! Good thing this is the first grandchild on both sides, so we should have a lot taken care of for us!

by ctbunch

I'm almost 23 weeks n don't show unless laying down. This is my first son but 4th pregnancy after having 3 lovely girls, and it was the same with all the other pregnancies. I lose weight instead of gain and I don't show normally till 7th month or so n even then I'm pretty small compared to my friends n family. I've lost 32lbs so far but it's slowed down. I eat normal and even stopped drinking my mt dew, doc says it's fine bc prepregnancy I'm over my reccomended weight. This pregnancy is different in the sense I was miserably nauseated up till lately. I found my triggers n stopped eating n drinking them. I have easy labors and deliveries, 1st 32 min, 2nd 5 min and 3rd 3min. So hoping this one is just as easy! My bff is throwing us a by shower being this is the first boy on my mothers side of family in 26 years!

by nikkiw386

I also want to add... I found out about this pregnancy while laying on the preop table about to get my tubes tied!!!! Lol

by nikkiw386

I am 22 weeks and put my nursery furniture on layaway at Babies R Us. A really great alternative to trying to save and buy. This way I put money down on each item weekly and don't have to pay interest or store them for another 90 days. The stroller/carseat combo is bought and I've started on the clothes and diapers as well. I am currently separated from my husband and want to get everything done as soon as possible. I am 5'10" tall and started showing almost immediately. I have a very long torso so the baby has plenty of room but he's all out front. I've only gained 10 lbs.

by trishtheprincess

I'm 22 Weeks and I went tubing to the river i was exposed to the sun for about 3 hours. I placed SPF on my belly and face, i got somewhat burned, never felt sick, but im just worried since they say i was not suposed to be exposed to the sun.... :S

by martharios11

I say to buy as you go and enjoy the process of setting up the nest :)

by tucker1313

I am 22 wks with my 5th baby. Infact this will be my 5th c-section as well! I've gained only 1 pound. It looks like my nausea is going to last through out this entire pregnancy.Even though I've gained only a pound i swear my belly "popped out" overnight. However my belly button has never popped out with any of my babies.

by robbkalae

Oh gosh i had most of my stuff by like 14 weeks. I was too excited not to buy buy buy! at 16 weeks i started buying girl stuff since we had just found out she was a girl!

by v_tonona

I'm 22 weeks pregnant today and theres no way you can tell im pregnant. I just bought new work pants cause my belly is starting to come out very little. Everyone is shocked when i tell them im almost 6 months pregnant. I kinda like it though its just me and him and nobody is trying to touch me or anything. he moves for my husband so its kinda like our little secret still were just enjoying the time as the 3 of us

by shellcsmith

I read that those who aren't showing bumps is because they have abdominal muscles that are tighter and stronger. So maybe you are more athletic than some women. :). I barely started feeling baby at 20 weeks and now since middle of 21 I am finally feeling actual kicks, 3 days before turning 22, and baby is way more active now. At 20 it was like a few brushes here and a move there, and then several days in between of nothing.

by babynavasmomma

Even though there's 18 more weeks, I am soooooooooo ready to not be pregnant anymore already. I have hip pains already, and when I told my husband (who is traveling) that I was afraid he wouldn't want to have sex with me, he straight up said, nah, just not during baby time. But yeah, I'm "still attractive." Right....like I'm supposed to believe that when you just said you don't want to have sex with me while I'm pregnant. Get this girl outta me!!!

by gritcherd85

debzsmb : Im not showing that much either.I do need maternity pants but I dont have much of a belly. Also my belly button is no where near popping. But my dr said everything is great so I dont worry.Every woman and pregnancy is different.Good luck

by hyper51969

I am 22 weeks prego today and (sorry if people are not comfortable with this) I have not had a normal poop in close to 2 weeks... please any suggestions would be helpful!

by Aimee1980

I'm 22 weeks today. I think I'm showing but no one else does....people just think I'm fat. I have always had big hips and a tiny waist with no tummy. Now I've got a belly and no more waist line (booo) so while *i* think I'm showing a lot, most people just think I'm pudgy. Way to kill a girl's self esteem. I want to be showing so people stop running into me and acting like total A-holes.

by rhibboykin

im 22 weeks .how should i know when its a kick or like bubbles and is it normal for my belly button to not pop out yet

I'm 22 weeks and bought mine last night b/c it's on sale until Thursday and it was the first set that we liked that wasn't too expensive! Also, I had friends who waited until the last month or two and had to send parts and pieces back b/c of scratches and stuff....we wanted to have plenty of time!

by kduckworth1217

I am 22 weeks today and already purchased nursery furniture and bedding and it is ready to be picked up!

by khershey2011

I'm 22 weeks and am showing way too much if you ask me. On my 1st pregnancy I didn't show until about 30 weeks. I'm sure if it's your first one it will take time.

by VALLEDHUERTA2

I love it when you compare kid's size with various fruits and vegetables! It is a really nice idea. My wife has some headaches through that period but they are not intense. Thanks for the article here. Regards, Glen from cialis kopen

by Chris8888

Im 22 weeks and am definately showing, but not to the extint on the description. The doctors say im healthy and all but I have barely gained any weight. When I first found out I was preg I gained about 5-7 pound in the first month but soon after lost it all. Now at this point I am only 1.5 pounds above my prepregnancy weight. Is this normal for first time mothers? I am not too too worried just because I have always had issues gainin weight, but it is just wierd bcuz two weeks ago my baby was at 12oz and plus i have gained two cup sizes yet where is the weight going? Certainly not to the scale.

by MelBilger

I am 22 weeks & real estate is definately expanding in my belly. Some people say I dont look that big yet but I sure do feel it...and with the number that appears on the scale....I've gained not just in my belly, but thighs & butt as well. My belly button hasn't popped out yet but within the last few days it's definetly changed. I feel my little boy occastionally but definately not consistently yet. Which does make me a little nervous but I"m sure it's normal.

by jseattleg

Just found out my Papaya is a boy that makes 5 boys for me!

by Mekakay26

murchury15? im also 16 and me and my boyfriend were playing around nd i accidentally hit myself in the stomach, the outside was sore for a little bit but i got over it and yes, it is normal to feel a little pain, espeacially when ur bladders full, but it shouldnt be too much.

by PuffballLaylaa

i also have the all day morning sickness (22 wks) and ran out of medication a couple days ago. I thought I could go a couple days without it... wrong. it was right back to the good ol days... threw up three times in a row and called my doc. heather... it could last your whole pregnancy.

by IngeJR

I'm 22 weeks and I look like I'm 8 months prego. This is my 2nd child and I cant believe how big I am. At this rate I'm not sure if I'm gonna make it another 4 months.....

I'm 22 weeks and my baby is kicking like crazy. I even feel the baby kicking near my cervix, which is scary since I have a shortened cervix and had the cerglage stitch at 17 weeks.

by taigary

i look preg almost right away i feel like haha but this is my 3rd time being preg. in a year, and the baby i had aug 1st 2010 was 10lbs!

by megbray87

I've already started buying all the small things but I will buy the crib and travel system at 7 months I am 5 1/2 now

by MsSheena2U

to murchurry15 all of that is completely normal...sometimes depending on how hard the baby kicks it can definitely hurt! and leaking a little bit of urine is also common. if you experience a heavy amount of leakage you should call your doctor!

by kkostelnik

murchury15- if you would like to exchange emails i would be more than happy to talk back and forth! you definitely need support as a first time mom!

by kkostelnik

Most of my registry is done, but I don't physically have much for my baby yet. It took a while for me to show, but I finally am, and my belly button is about half way gone. I feel her move all the time.

by LilLIsaLuna

I just hit the 22 week mark and I wish I wasnt showing so much! Everybody is always trying to touch and poke my belly which is so odd to me!!! Super jealous of all the gals who can still wear pre-preggo jeans.. I swear it makes me cry some mornings when I can't fit into anything and look good!!!!

by jamielea27

I prefer to wait for the baby shower, like that I know what is left to buy.

by jennypenny30

4 ange001, if this is your 1st baby i would want and see what you get from your baby shower.if this is not your 1st then i wouls start gettin like things after you find out what you are haveing. its so much fun. with my 1st son i had 2 wait and see what i got from my baby shower. with my son son i dont know if im haveing a babyshower n if not that fine beacuse i really dont have 2 get that much. i hope that this helped a little

by markjr811

I was 13 weeks and bought a ton of stuff! I've had my crib bought and set up for months now.. but its all up to you!

by CandieBears

My husband and I started shopping at 20wks. We're having a baby shower (or celebration), but this is our 2nd, so were leaving gifts optional for our guest.

by bremommy

I'm 22 weeks pregnant with a boy also and Im still sick all day. Im having a boy also. With my girls I wasn't sick like this either. I feel better to know someone else is going thru the same thing!

by drobertson1234

i never uy anything early i start to shop about 30 weeks .,.. usually i give birth about 36-39 weeks with my babies.. this is my fifth. We have a older son who is 8 and then 3 girls 5,3,2 and finally another BOY... so im excited to buy but i dont wanna get ahead of myself

by cileah098

I think it's different for everyone. I am 5'5" and weighed 113 before and have a rather large belly now. I am a little concerned that it is too big but my doc said it was good and I'm showing a lot because I was so small before??

by Edith Anne Hunt

I'm 5'3 and weighed 130 pre-pregnancy... fast forward to 22 wks pregnat and I have put on 25lbs and it's very obvious that I am pregnant. Belly and all... Doc is ok with my weight gain and i'm working out 3 days a week. Everydoby carries different.

by cleets7

Now is a good time. It takes several weeks for some stuff to come in.

by shanny1179

I'm 22 weeks and haven't bought a thing as well. Moving into a new home this weekend so probably won't get to start on the nursery thing for at least a couple weeks. Trying not to stress about it, since family/friends will be helping out at the baby shower :)

by sararose84

I am 22 weeks. You can tell I am prego! I am 5'4 and was 135 before baby, I had a nice flat tummy. I lost 10 pounds in the first 3 months because I was throwing up everyday. But now I am packing on a pound a week. This little boy is taking up a lot of room. But my belly button does not look like it is going to pop soon... As well I started wearing a belly band, and prego jeans at about 17 weeks. They are just more comfy.. I started to feel him kick & move at about 16 weeks. The doctor said because of my tiny tummy is prolly why I could feel him before most people. I can for sure tell when he is sleeping, and even when things scare him awake... Like my husband saying his name ;) We have bought only a few things, but looking forward to my baby shower coming up!

I'm 22 weeks today & I've picked out curtains, wall paint, crib skirt & mobile for nursery. The big stuff will be gifts from family (this is our 1st baby). We're (or should I say my husband) is re-finishing an antique dresser and my sister is giving me her changing table. :) I've been feeling him kick since week 19 and I have a medium bump (I'm thin, 5'5" and have a very small torso- so I guess that's probably why I'm growing so much!) I did have bad, all-day nausea from weeks 8-14. Thank God that subsided!

I just had my friend's HUGE lab jump up on my stomach. Now I'm feeling this bubbling in my tummy. Should I be concerned?

I live in Albany, NY and I was wondering if anyone who lives near me would know of any good pediatricians? If anyone could recommend any that would be great!

I am 22 weeks and we went ahead and painted the nursery 2 weeks ago. That way we don't have to worry about it over the holidays. Plus we figured that the holidays would make time FLY by so better to do it early than be rushing. We are ordering furniture next week since free and reduced holiday shipping rates are starting.

Im 22 weeks, and am already huffing and puffing! Im not huge, but definitely looking pregnant. As for the not feeling baby kicking...I have yet to feel my daughter kick and doc said not to be concerned until about 30wks. Just enjoy not having your insides punched all the time :)

I'm 22 weeks and am definitely looking pregnant. I had to get a larger wedding band and everything, but I have an underactive thyroid so I gain weight if I even look at food. I do have an active little girl though, she's been kicking a bit since 15 weeks and starting last week I definitely figured out her schedule of when shes going to kick and roll around. She only kicks in one spot which can get a bit painful, but it's really reassuring. Pretty much her entire nursery is done, we're just waiting on the crib and I have a few bits to finish on her mural. I just wanted to get it all done so I could relax around the holidays.

I'm only 4'11 and normally around 108lbs. And for a short lady, I have long legs and an itty bitty torso. At 22 weeks, I definitely look pregnant and my belly button is starting to look and feel different. I can tell it's working towards the dreaded 'poke out'. I already feel like the baby is taking up more room than it has and can feel it's kicks and turns right under my breasts. The baby is growing faster than my little torso can handle.

I am 22 weeks today, and haven't really felt any noticable kicks besides flutters here and there. I have an anterior placenta so they did say it would take a little longer than normal to feel movements. I'm still not really showing, but look like i'm getting chubby. It's so frustrating. I just want a definite shape of a bump, and feel her movements since I hear it's so special.

I'm 22 weeks along with my first and we are having a boy! I have bought the crib and matching dresser and mattress. I found an amazing deal for a barely used designer set on craigslist, which is the main reason why i bought it. I really haven't bought much else. I'd rather wait until after my showers! I have been feeling kicks since week 18. I absolutely love it!

I'm 22 weeks today and I am feeling the baby move a lot more! I'm definitely showing but I joke around and say it resembles more of a bad gas day than a baby bump. I'm 5'2 and 126 pounds. I'm beginning to think my baby is going to be huge though because at my 20 week ultrasound the baby was already a pound and was estimated at around 91/2 inches!

Difficulty in breathing already started out for me.My mom is suggesting to walk everyday, but walking few steps making me tired and hard in breathing. How to overcome this?

@ heatherjp - i'm also 22 weeks and i'm still on zofran and benadryl for the nausea and vomiting. i lost so much weight in the beginning that i'm not even back to my pre-prego weight. i've resigned myself to the fact that i'm just going to puke thru the rest of the pregnancy. i've also started eating whatever i want (within reason) and if it comes back up it comes back up. ever since i changed my mindset i'm feeling much better, emotionally. i figure it's only temporary, my baby is very healthy and i'm more than half-way there, lol. hang in there!!

This is my 3rd and my belly button has never popped out. With my 1st I didnt start showing until about 7 months, I'm only 5'1. The 2nd around 26 weeks is when you could really tell, but this time, I started showing really soon. Everyone and every pregnancy is different! Also, I am a freak about getting things ready, so we already have everything set up, washed, and put away. Even the bottles. Its just too much fun to get prepared!

by ashleyh26

I have an extremely short torso, so I started showing at 10 weeks or so. If I lay a certain way my belly button starts to pop out a little. Good luck!
