Should I see a genetic counselor around the CVS/amnio issue? What's the benefit?

The Bump Expert

We think it’s a good idea to speak with a genetic counselor before having either procedure. This is an opportunity to discuss personal and family medical histories of you and your partner, the current pregnancy, and the risks and benefits of diagnostic testing. It’s also a time to discuss what you’ll do if the tests detect abnormalities. If the results do come up positive, your genetic counselor will continue to be a valuable resource.
