In many cases, your employer may be willing to give you a little extra time for you to adjust to your growing family, and in some states employers are required to provide extra unpaid leave for women with multiples. At a minimum, though, the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) entitles eligible employees to up to 12 weeks of unpaid leave in a 12-month period when a baby (or two, or three, or more) is born.
