Breastfeeding Multiples?

Will I be able to breastfeed my multiples?

Re:

Will I be able to breastfeed my multiples?

The Bump Expert

Even if you deliver early, your body will be ready to start producing milk soon after you give birth. In fact, in preterm infants, the mother’s milk is actually higher in protein and other nutrients that can strengthen babies’ immune systems and help them gain weight. Many mothers of multiples become milk-making machines, but keep in mind that it can be challenging for any new mom to get even one newborn to feed, let alone two or more. Don’t get discouraged—it takes time and practice to get your babies to latch on. In the meantime, keep your production up by pumping, and don’t be shy about asking a lactation consultant for assistance.
