Q&A: Why aren't my boobs sore anymore?

When I first found out I was pregnant my boobs were so incredibly sore! I'm 12 weeks pregnant now and they barely hurt and all, and feel the same size they've always been. Should I be nervous of a miscarriage since I've had one before? I still have the "morning" sickness and everything else. Do boobs always hurt during pregnancy?

The Bump Expert

Chalk it up to the hormones. Blood flow to the breasts increases dramatically during the first eight weeks of pregnancy, and this can lead to pain, heaviness and tingling. The pain generally gets better by the second trimester, although you may notice that your breasts are still sore from time to time. Everything you describe is normal!

re: Q: Soreness improving -- miscarriage?

That is so funny. I woke up this morning and felt weirded out that my boobs weren't hurting. I immediately had the same thoughts, but after hearing that, I'm cool now...

The same thing happened to me and I panicked because I had a previous miscarriage. But I'm 22 weeks now with a perfectly healthy baby, so don't worry. Enjoy the pain free boobs while you can because they will soon begin to hurt again when they start filling with milk!!!

Q&A: Why aren't my boobs sore anymore?

I'm having the same type of concerns....not sure if it's all in my head or what. I'm 6 weeks along, and have only known for 1.5 weeks. Blood tests a week ago were great - and at that time my boobs were a little sore, and I had a bit of a rash on my arms. All things my doctor said were normal and pregnancy related. My boobs aren't sore, and my rash seems to be disappearing...and I haven't had any signs of morning sickness. Should I be concerned? My first 'real' appointment isn't for another two weeks, and my first ultrasound to hear the heartbeat isn't scheduled for another six weeks!

Q&A: Why aren't my boobs sore anymore?

I am in the same boat- about 6 weeks pregnant and while my breasts are bigger and my nipples are a bit sensitive, my boobs are definatly not as sore as I hear people on here talk about. I am hoping that this is not a bad sign. Has anyone experienced this and had a healthy pregnancy?

Q&A: Why aren't my boobs sore anymore?

I'm in the same boat. I'm almost 5 weeks along. When I first found out I was pregnant my boobs were sore. My frist HCG test came up as 51 with Progesterone at 26 then two days later HCG was 236 (normal) now my next HCG isn't until 7 more days and my boobs are not sore any more. I'm really worried that may be a sign my hormone level is dropping? I have no other symptoms... anyone else experience this?

Q&A: Why aren't my boobs sore anymore?

My boobs were so sore even before i found out i was preggo, and stayed that way through the 1st tri. my poor hubby couldn't even hug me! after my 1st tri tho, the soreness completely went away. I'm 24 weeks now and still not sore anymore with a very healthy active baby! Don't worry! be glad when it goes away!

Q&A: Why aren't my boobs sore anymore?

I'm 11 weeks pregnant and I had a lot of symptoms in the first month of my pregnancy. I had fatigue, morning sickness, frequent urination, and sore breasts. Now that I entered in my 11 weeks I have none of these symptoms. I called the doctor and she said that it could be that because I am entering into my second trimester than the symptoms can subside

Q&A: Why aren't my boobs sore anymore?

Yea, I had a miscarriage and still had all the symptoms all the way up until after my dnc, but now I'm 17 weeks pregnant and my symptoms have been gone since 14 weeks and this baby is perfectly healthy. Your body is going through so many changes its hard to attribute any of them to a miscarriage. All I have to say about that is if you have any spotting or bleeding, immediately call your doctor just to be safe!!'

Q&A: Why aren't my boobs sore anymore?

I feel like crying right now! I have had two miscarriages and am pregnant again. The last time I had an U/S was 5 and a half weeks ago. I will be 12 weeks on Tuesday. My next U/S is this Wednesday at 12 weeks. My boobs have been less tender, thought my veins looked a bit lighter and am wondering why my stomack feels skinnier than it had been recently. :( I am SOOOOO nervous I will see no heartbeat at the U/S. I am driving myself crazy!!!!!!!!! i don't want to go through this AGAIN!

Q&A: Why aren't my boobs sore anymore?

I'm 32 weeks pregnant and when I was about 14 weeks my boobs stopped hurting. Its fine, but if you are still worried, just talk to your doctor. If that's the only thing you notice is weird, then don't worry because your hormones are constantly changing during pregnancy. And chances are they will hurt again later in your pregnancy
