Your Pregnancy: Week 5

Here's a convenient coincidence: This, the week of your first missed period, is also the week when your hormone levels are high enough for that home pregnancy test to work its magic. Once you've seen the good news for yourself, it's time to schedule a prenatal appointment with your doctor.

Baby's now the size of an appleseed!
Your embryo, which doesn't look like much more than a tadpole right now, is actually starting to form major organs (heart, kidney, liver, stomach) and systems (nervous, circulatory, digestive). Baby's presence in your uterus triggers production of HCG (the hormone detected by pregnancy tests), which triggers the production of other hormones like estrogen and progesterone, which triggers all those great symptoms you've probably been noticing!

To-do:
> Develop an exercise routine
> Reminder: Schedule your prenatal checkup
> Go to your checklist

[ tip ] Starting the caffeine wean? Sip hot water with fresh lemon juice for a refresher. The drink will also boost liver function and cleanse your palate.

I'm 5 weeks pregnant and I learnt it yesterday, but unfortunatelly last week I was under medication for urine problems.I took Norocin for 7 days, a powerful antibiotic. How harmful this could be for my baby?Should I worry? How can I know if there arem going to be any problems?

So I am not sure if I am prego or not. This will be my 2nd child and the only signs I am having is a MP by a week, nausea here and there, bloating, my boobs are big and around my nipples, my nipples are sore & cramping but is hardly there anymore. I took a hpt on Aug 8th and it was BFN but it was a CBED and I was told they are not as accurate as FR? With my first child a hpt always said BFN so I had a BT and it was BFP but my levels were very low so they retested to confirm and I was barely 4 weeks. So I am just scared to take another test cause I feel pregnant and I don't want to be let down if I am not cause my husband and I are actively trying.

I'm 5 weeks today according to the early ultrasound! I found out so early...it's going to be a long pregnancy! I get so nervous...it doesn't feel real yet! Sure, I tire easily, but I really don't feel pregnant yet! I'm actually looking forward to something, anything happening! 2 weeks and I'll have my ultrasound to see the hearbeat...hopefully that will make it real for me! Congrats to all you Mommy's too!
