Your Pregnancy: Week 10

Notice a network of tiny blue veins crisscrossing your already achy breasts and (sorry) disappearing waistline? Though you may not love the new look, these veins carry the extra blood needed to nourish your burgeoning baby. You also might see the effects of pregnancy on your face -- in the form of major breakouts, that is. (Thanks, hormones.)

Baby's now the size of a prune!
With bones and cartilage starting to form and vital organs beginning to function, baby is making major progress. Body length will almost double in the next three weeks, and arm joints are now working. (Soon, legs will start working too.)

To-do:
> Consider a babymoon
> Schedule first prenatal checkup
> Reminder: schedule your CVS
> Go to your checklist

[ tip ] Ask for a free sample of whatever prenatal vitamin your doctor recommends. Better figure out if you're able to keep one down before buying an enormous bottle.

Had my second internal u/s today and actually saw the baby move at 9wk4d. It was very strange. Looked like a sea creature wobbling under water.

I am a labor and delivery nurse who is 9 weeks and 6 days today. Yesterday, at 9 weeks and 5 days, i was able to get doppler heart tones right above my pubic bone! We usually don't even try until 13 weeks! Of course it took some searching but I found it. 170-180bpm :)

i had my second ulttrasound this week. i've been extremely ill from the pregnancy and the doc just wanted to check on the baby. she said "don't worry. baby will take what baby needs! we just need to keep you fed." seeing the little heartbeat on the screen made me feel much better. being so sick, i haven't been able to enjoy this yet. i hope to get better soon...

I just found out I am pregnant two days ago. My husband and I where both rushed with emotions. We are so excited, but not expecting this at the same time. I have had some pretty intense morning sickness... or should I say... all day sickness and some cramping. Was a little worried about the cramping, but the doctor says its fine... has anyone else had this?!
