You may start noticing that you’re standing or sitting differently in your second trimester. That’s because, as baby grows, the rest of your body shifts to make room for your growing belly (and the added weight!). Your lower back will gradually start to curve more, and your shoulders may also move back a bit to make up for your shifting center of gravity and enlarging uterus. Plus, late in pregnancy, the abdominal muscles of some women separate, which can lead to a change in posture.

But don’t worry -- you won’t stay curved forever! After pregnancy, as your body gradually resumes its pre-pregnancy state, you’ll gradually resume your pre-pregnancy stance as well. (Whew!)
