Will my preemie’s vaccination schedule be different from other babies because of her adjusted age?

The Bump Expert

No, vaccinations follow real or actual age, with the exception of the hepatitis B series, which is normally given at birth. The hepatitis B vaccine is more effective if it is given when a baby weighs at least 2,000 g (4 lbs 7 oz); so if a baby is at low risk for hepatitis B (meaning Mom tests negative for the virus), the vaccine will be delayed until a preemie weighs enough.
