What is cluster feeding?
There may be some days when your baby barely wants to take her bottle or the breast, and others where she just can’t seem to get enough. That’s an entirely normal for experience for most infants. But if you’re breastfeeding, especially, cluster feedings can make you feel like a milk machine. These are times when baby wants to eat much more than usual, whether that’s every hour throughout the day or just at certain times of day.
Remember that it’s okay to simply follow your baby’s lead during this time -- forget about sticking to a set feeding schedule. If you’re breastfeeding, your milk supply will almost always keep up to meet your hungry baby’s demand. If your milk supply does seem to be ebbing a bit, do your best to keep hydrated and to eat a healthy diet, and it should start to rise fairly quickly.
