Q&A: Can I go scuba diving?

We're going on vacation and I want to go scuba diving. Will scuba diving affect my breast milk?

The Bump Expert

No. Breathing compressed air does add nitrogen to your system (including your breast milk) for a short time, but there doesn't seem to be any risk involved with this at all. So go ahead and dive. (You might want to feed baby or pump just before you head out, though. The pressure of a tight wet suit could lead to a plugged duct.)

Q&A: Can I go scuba diving?

There are a lot of questions that require an answer before going on vacation, especially with a newborn. A vacation abroad requires careful planning and definitely a travel insurance as well. In case of trip cancellation in Atlantic City you will still be able to enjoy your vacation, knowing that you are insured.
