Fenugreek is an herb that has been taken by mothers -- traditionally in Egypt, India, and other countries -- to increase their milk production. Before taking any herbal medicine, talk to your healthcare provider, as some herbs interact with prescribed drugs or are not recommended for women with certain health histories. For example, if you have diabetes, fenugreek might not be the best choice because it has been found to lower blood sugar.
