Re: I heard that the iron in fortified foods won't help my baby. Is this true?
“Fortified foods” is a broad term that encompasses a lot of different kinds of food and many different types of fortification. Iron-fortified foods are not required for a breastfeeding baby. Instead of worrying about fortification, use this rule of thumb, the best meal for a baby is made up of nutritious foods that are as close to their natural state as possible.
