Q&A: Is birth control safe?

My baby is almost two years old, and I just started taking regular birth control pills. Is it okay to keep nursing her once a day?

Birth control pills don't seem to be dangerous for baby. The main concern with them is that your milk supply could drop while you're on them. Since your child is older and only nursing once a day, there's really nothing to worry about. (Just be aware that you might see a decrease in milk production.)
