Breast milk can be stored in a chest or upright deep freezer for a whopping six to 12 months. It does lose some quality as time passes, but it should taste okay -- and it still offers better nutrition than infant formula. If you’re using a deep-freezer, store breast milk toward the back of the unit, where the temperature will be most constant.
