Fertility Chart

This may be obvious - but I've been looking and can't figure it out. On the chart, there's a section for cervix with three kinds of dots, one is solid, the other is medium and the last is the largest and they are labeled F, M, and S. I have no clue what this is referring to. Help!

Are the circles for dialation?

OPK = Ovulation Prediction Kit. LH is the hormone that the kit measures. So if you are using an OPK, LH surge means that the detector is telling you that you are ovulating.

Anybody have advice as to conceiving a girl? I already have a darling son 10 months old..

"Taking Charge of your Fertility" is a great book! We were pregnant within two months after reading just parts of the book. I didn't even really chart my cycle, just took my temp every morning and paid attention to my vaginal fluids. It also helps to "practice" everyday. Another great book is "What to Expect When You're Expecting". Before purchasing either of these books I read tons of reviews on many books and so glad I chose the two I did.On conceiving a girl, pksmith is right -- sex during early fertile signs should get you a baby girl.

There is a great book that uses the same fertility chart in it.It's called "Taking Charge of your Fertility" and it's amazing. I've been using it for birth control (you just use the opposite method for trying to conceive). It's great and the charting really gets you in tune with your body. I highly recommend the book

According to the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility," which I went out and bought after reading some of the comments about it here (and also highly recommend), under a section of pregnancy symptoms, it says "creamy cervical fluid starting in the latter part of the luteal phase and continuing throughout pregnancy." So if you became pregnant last week I would assume that it could be possible that what you're experiencing is in fact a symptom of that conception.

...well it seems to work. My in-laws are Catholic and both MIL and FIL come from families with 10+ siblings!

My husband and I have decided that 2009 is the year to start our own little family. After browsing the The Bump, I've realized how naive I am about a lot of things, including ovulation cycles. Looks like I've got plenty of homework to do in this topic. I will definetely check out to books recommended.

I started charting a couple weeks ago, but I have PCOS, so I have had creamy, seemingly fertile, fluid for 89 days now!!! I have already thought I may have ovulated about 3 times now, but the temp change doesn't last, so be careful to track your signs carefully before getting too too hopeful about having conceived! It was really sad for me.

i will quote how to find the cervix.... "The cervix exam requires only one finger. You can make this exam while sitting on the toilet, or you can make this observation in a standing position with one foot upon the toilet. You insert your index or middle finger up the vagina to touch the cervix. With daily observations from Day 6 and up to the start of Phase 3, you will begin to notice the changes, even as a beginner. The hardest part of this observation for some beginners is finding the cervix since it can be quite high and at first they have no idea what they are looking for. The tip of the cervix is like the stem end of a small pear after the stem has been removed."

This is very similar to the chart that Natural Family Planning uses (which I highly recommend).. why would that turn anyone off?? It's a NATURAL method that is very effective and married persons who follow the program only have a 5% divorce rate.. I don't know how that could turn a person off! Anyways, NFP has a course that shows you how to effectively monitor fertility and the best time to conceive.. it's a very good class if anyone is interested in a natural and healthy child planning method.

Ok, so I really like this chart but all my temps. are 96's and 97's , but the lowest on here is the 97's. Anyone know of any other premaid charts that are this easy to use?

I'm confused about the cervical fluid part right under the waking temp. On the sample, all it has is a P (I'm assuming for the period days). What else, if anything, should be put in those boxes? I hope you know what I'm talking about! Haha!

There's a low temp fertility chart that goes all the way down to 95.9 at gardenoffertility.com I have to chart a few low temps, but I like this chart better because it's more explanatory.

So how do you measure your cervical position and firmness? And I'm guessing this is something you'd have to do a bit before you get the hang of it?

Hello to all! My name is Jocie, I have been with my husband for about 6 years now. We have a beautiful 3 year old little girl named Gabriela. I just took out my Mirena IUD on July 31st after having it in for three years. On August 1st (the day after) I started spotting pretty heavily for about 4 days. Do you guys think that was my first period? Should I be getting my next cycle in the beginning of September?

Am I the only one who gets stressed out by this chart? I think I'm just going to leave it to mother nature, thanks.

This chart should come with some written explanation on how to use it, for those of us who are not very familiar with fertility.

Question: when do you start charting? Can you begin at any point in your cycle or do you have to start on Day 1 of your period?

My waking temps have been around 97.3, this chart does not seem to have the capability to chart those low temps. Does anyone have a suggesetion of where to get one that does or how to modify this one?

This is going to sound nuts, but I have tried checking my cervix and really am not sure what my cervix feels like. I am at the beginning of my cycle and can only feel something that sort of sticks out that is firm and not very big around. Any guidance would be appreciated.

BEST website (free) for charting is fertilityfriend.com . once you have a Basal thermometer..you are all set. It is very self explanitory and you learn as you go, but it has been very helpful for me in learning, and starting to chart.

i want wnat to know how can i get pregnant, me and my boyfriend have been tryin it for a couple of months already but it just comes out that i am not and we want to have our family can any one give me advice about my problem ????????????????????

I tried using something similar to conceive my son and it is really hard work, confusing and for me not effective. I started using a fertility predictor test one a day every day until LH surge and TADA! Pregnant.

Im so confused how in the world am I suppose to check my cervix?

My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant since last summer and i havent had a period since last april. My dr put me on clomid, 1mth ago. I dont know if iam ovulating or not. We really want to get pregnant. Does anyone have any advice??

I cant seem to figure out why i cant have a baby. Now I have a 7year old, but ever since then i cant seem to another baby. Ive gone to doctors and some hope, but they fail to keep up with me and my husband. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know - a loving and hoping mother.

how can you tell if the cervix is open closed etc....

There's a great book, called "Taking Charge of Your Fertlilty" by Toni Weschler that explains ALL of these things you chart in great detail. I highly recommend it.

Hi, I am new to all this. I am engaged and gettin married June 5, 2010. My fiance and I arenot trying just yet yo get pregnant but we will be soo. But in the mean time we are not preventing it either. I was late with my period and when I got it , it was very very light....I took a pregnancy test but it came out negative but my period has never been this light...I dont know what to think....
