Q&A: Taking care of finances before getting pregnant?

We’re getting ready to get pregnant. I know there are probably financial or insurance issues I should be thinking about but I’m not sure where to start.

As with other planned life-changing events (going off to college, getting married, etc.), it’s best to get your finances in order as early as possible. Take a look at our Money Matters Checklist, which outlines everything you'll need to take care of. Once you devise a family-focused budget in anticipation of pregnancy, try living on it to see if it’s really feasible. This way, you can fine-tune your plan without the added stress of an actual baby.

Also, if you're self-employed and don't have a private disability policy, apply for one that includes pregnancy and postpartum coverage as soon as possible. (Once pregnant, you won't be able to obtain new coverage.)

re: Q: Finance for TTC?

This is the hardest part for us. We both want a baby in the near future, but at 29 my husband decided that he wants to start school to be a pharmacist (7 years of school). He's now in his first term, and I'm wondering when the timing will ever be right? I'm the official bread winner for the next 7 years, but we definitely don't wnt to wait that long to start. How do you know when the timing is right?

Q&A: Taking care of finances before getting pregnant?

They say you'll never be finiancially ready for a baby. Well, sure you can get some bills taken care of, but even so you can plan and plan and plan and sometimes it just happens! My husband started back in school, but we aren't going to give up trying just for that. Yes it will be hard, but you have to try for kids when you want and when you think it feels right. We are lucky because we have lots of family around and this will be a HUGE deal for our families. I get stressed easily so I'm trying to not be so much as we keep trying to get pregnant. I am almost 25 and I've always wanted kids young, but I'm beginning to think (much because my husband has said this...) that pregnancy will happen when it happens (we've been trying for 3 months now) Yes it is hard with your spouse going to school and you or both of you are working, but if you think you can throw a baby into the mix then go for it! I'm not gonna stop trying and I've even thought about going back to school. Good luck!

Q&A: Taking care of finances before getting pregnant?

There are a lot of things to take care of before getting pregnant and getting your finances in order is the most important thing. When our son went to college he searched for student loans and we were not able to provide him with enough money, so having a new-born would mess our financial plans.

Q&A: Taking care of finances before getting pregnant?

My name is Camille bruno Valdez my partner and I have been trying for a baby for over two years now, We were going to a fertility clinic for about 5 months before somebody told us to contact this spell caster who is so powerful, We contacted him at this email; arewaspecialistttemple@gmail.com , for him to help us, then we told him our problem, he told us that we will either conceive in February 2014 or March 2014,but after two years of trying we were at a point where we were willing to try anything. And I'm glad we came to Dr Dahiru, Because his pregnancy spell cast put us at ease, and I honestly believe him, and his gods really helped us as well, I am thankful for all he has done. contact him via email: arewaspecialistttemple@gmail.com if you are trying to get a baby or want your lover back. he has powers to do it, he has done mine,
