Q&A: Can I get pregnant if I have PCOS?

I was just diagnosed with PCOS… does this mean I won’t be able to get pregnant? What can I do to increase the likelihood of conceiving?

Re:

The Bump Expert

PCOS stands for Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome -- a common reproductive endocrine disorder that is associated with irregular or absent menstrual cycles and excess production of the hormone testosterone (called hyperandrogenism). Increased secretion of this male hormone generally causes excess hair growth, oily skin and acne. Due to the lack of regular ovulatory cycles and monthly release of an egg, PCOS is often accompanied by infertilty. Should a woman with PCOS become pregnant, the chance of early loss may also be increased.
While there is no definitive treatment for PCOS, there are therapies (often birth control pills) that aim to achieve regular menstrual cycles. If you want to get pregnant, medication (pills or injections) can be used to induce ovulation.

re: Q: PCOS and Fertility?

i suffered form pcos before i conceived my 1st child. my dr. told me that it would probably go away after that. well it didn't go away after the 1st but did after the 2nd. i had trouble getting pg with the 2nd but not the 3rd. they are 19 mths apart. i hadn't even had a p before i got pg with the 3rd. don't be fooled. pregnancy can change alot of things about the body. i now have regular cycles and i can get pg at the drop of a hat.

re: Q: PCOS and Fertility?

I also have PCOS and was told I was going to have to go on fertility pills. Well...I'm happy to say that my husband and I didn't use any pills and we got pregnant right away. I'm not saying this is the case for everyone, but it may give you some hope!

re: Q: PCOS and Fertility?

Don't be discouraged! I was diagnosed with PCOS the day AFTER I had my first OB appointment. We got pregnant after about 4 months of 'being less careful'. The biggest news-- we are pregnant with TWINS! Don't worry to much about the PCOS, obviously it doesn't mean no babies :)

re: Q: PCOS and Fertility?

Since I have been diagnosed with PCOS, I gained 65 pounds and that is while being on weight watchers and going to the gym. Dh and I have been trying for 9 months to get pregnant, but nothing yet. I am on metformin and clomid, but still no results. Everyone varies. A reproductive endocrinologist can really help you thru this. Shedding a few pounds is supposed to help with conceiving.

re: Q: PCOS and Fertility?

Does oily skin, acne, and  irregular menstrual cycles always indicate PCOS?  Dh and I have been ttc for about 6 months with no success - we had to stop because I was diagnosed with dysplasia in my cervix, which we thought may have contributed to not getting pg.  I have not been tested for any fertility problems, but I do have irregular cycles ( I always have) oily skin and acne (from the oily skin).  I am pretty sure that I ovulate each month since I have the typical ovulation syptoms.

re: Q: PCOS and Fertility?

I was diagnosed with PCOS at the age of 17. At that time (9 1/2 years ago) it was commonly believed that pregnancy would be extremely difficult or impossible. I was told I would have to have laser surgery to remove the cysts and that each time I had it, there would be scar tissue and the next pregnancy would be even more difficult.Last year, in anticipation of TTC with my husband, I scheduled an appt. with a new OB/GYN because I had moved from one city to another. The new OB put me on metformin and told me that it was not going to be easy to get pregnant. We stopped being careful in December after being on metformin for a month, and then started *trying* in February. BAM, I was pregnant immediately.Don't lose hope. It's not impossible.

re: Q: PCOS and Fertility?

I found out I had PCOS the day after my first OB appointment. The endocrinologist was surprised that I had gotten pregnant so easily- we had only been TTC for about 2 months. Not only am I pregnant now, but H and I are expecting twin girls in a few weeks. PCOS does not equal no babies! I also have hypothyroid disease, which is another thing a lot of women worry about. Don't let these things get you down!

re: Q: PCOS and Fertility?

Well, I was diagnosed with PCOS in April of 2007. We had been TTC since November of 2006. Something that was not mentioned that is also related to PCOS is Type II Diabetes, which I was also diagnosed with within the month. I am on Metformin and Clomid, and have lost over 20 lbs. Still no luck. I am happy to hear about all the success stories, I hope that one day I will beone of them.

re: Q: Can I Get PG If I Have PCOS?

I was diagnosed with PCOS in Oct. 2006. I had all the symptoms of it for about 10 years before I was diagnosed. I am on Metformin and Clomid to try and get pg. We have been trying for almost 3 years with no success. I am happy to see that there are success stories but I just wanted some people to know that it can cause extended IF issues.

re: Q: Can I Get PG If I Have PCOS?

I too was diagnosed with PCOS in 2004 after my miscarriage in September. My husband and I decided not to try again until the summer of 2006. Until that point I was not getting a period so I was placed on Metformin. I also read that it helps to lose a few pound. I added another ingredient ... lots of prayers and within 2 months I was pregnant. However, I had a miscarriage 2007 at 18 weeks, which I think was due to an incompetent cervix. Happy to announce I got pregnant within 2 months after my miscarriage (placed cerclage at 13 weeks). This time I give credit to my Heavenly Father for His Mercy and Grace. There are several stories in the Bible that tells the a story about women( Abrahams lineage) that were unable to conceive but were able to conceive because of Gods Grace. I read them all and was encouraged. I claimed all their stories for my life and believed that God would do the same for me. HE CAN ALSO DO IT FOR YOU! Continue to pray, exercise, eat healthy, follow doctors orders as well as follow your womans intuition about certain suggestions your doctors may have.

re: Q: Can I Get PG If I Have PCOS?

I was diagnosed in Dec. 2006 after years of symptoms. They started 5 years ago and I gained 60 pounds in 1 year - no joke. I am on 2000mg of metformin/day and have lost 20 pounds since Jan. 2007. We've been TTC for over a year now, no success yet. Went to RE in August and had planned to start Clomid this month, but plans changed. We're semi-taking a break for the next year as DH will be in and out of town a lot with work. No sense in taking clomid if DH won't be around regularly. If we don't get pg on our own over the next year, will go back to RE this time next year. The Met made me sick for the first week or 2, but after that I adjusted really well. Only have probs if I eat too much fat or carbs (and no salad after lunch time - BAD indigestion!!). I don't feel starving all the time anymore and my skin has gotten better. I still don't have a lot of energy though. The weight loss was due mostly to eating smaller proportions and healthier foods. You can do it, but everyones experience will be different. Good luck! Lots of girls on the trouble ttc have pcos, they are a great help!

re: Q: Can I Get PG If I Have PCOS?

I was diagnosed in 2001, I think. My DH & I stopped being careful, and after a year & a half, still nothing had happened. I talked to my OB after we got married, and he put me on Norethindrone (just a hormone that my body doesn't make) to make me ovulate, and BAM! we are pregnant. We are due in May next year.

re: Q: Can I Get PG If I Have PCOS?

Don't be discouraged! I was diagnosed after a year of TTC with my first husband, and 3.5 years later we still weren't pregnant. After he left me, I met the man I'm married to now...and we're pregnant with our 2nd! Our son was a surprise (since I was on the pill) since we were only dating for 3 months when I found out I was 6 weeks pregnant, Baby #2 was planned and all it took was for us to decide we wanted another! Good luck!

re: Q: Can I Get PG If I Have PCOS?

I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was in my late teens. I was immediately put on birth control pills and took them for quite some time.. I also took some time off of them and then started them back up 5 years ago. They put me on Metformin for awhile but it didn't seem to do anything for me. I was told it would be very difficult to have children one day because of the PCOS and the fact that I am quite overweight because of it. Well, in May 2005 at the age of 29 my DH and I decided to go off the pill and BAM a month later I conceived. Our son is now 20 months old and we are 25 weeks pregnant with a little girl! Despite all the odds here we are.. Don't give up hope.. I am glad I never did!

re: Q: Can I Get PG If I Have PCOS?

My husband and I ttc for a year before conceiving with PCOS. We couldn't believe the diagnosis the first time we heard it, so we changed docs. At my first appt with the second doc she said the exact same thing. We tried 2 rounds of clomid with zero success. After the second round she advised us to a reproductive endocrinologist. Just a few weeks before we went to the first RE appt we agreed to get a kitten to help with the feelings of infertility. Just a few weeks (like 2 1/2 weeks) later, I ovulated and wound up pregnant without any idea. I was expecting the entire time I was under the RE's care without him or us knowing. I am happy to say that we have made it through the first 12 weeks without any complications. (but we didn't find out until we were 10 weeks along!!) No one has said anything about what will happen after the baby is born, but I'm hoping that the next time is a little easier. I can't afford that many cats! lol!

re: Q: Can I Get PG If I Have PCOS?

Don't be discouraged!! I was also diagnosed with PCOS with extrememly irregular cycles and after a year of TTC on our own with no luck it only took 2 rounds of clomid as well as taking metformin to help in conjunction with the clomid, we conceived our first child and she was carried to term and very healthy. We are now TTC #2 using clomid because it worked so well the first time.

re: Q: Can I Get PG If I Have PCOS?

I, too, have POS, and although FH and I are not currently TTC, we're not avoiding it either. As of right now, there may be a possibility that I am pregnant, which has me cautiously hopeful. I also have Type 2 Diabetes, which I suspect is due in part to the POS being undiagnosed for so long. I'm trying to lose weight, but can't seem to get anywhere with that. I am concerned about being pregnant or getting pregnant with all of these health issues, but after reading all of the comments, my hope and faith is restored.

re: Q: Can I Get PG If I Have PCOS?

My Best Friend was diagnosed with pcos and kept convincing me that I needed to be tested for it too.I was diagnosed in 2005 and just recently went through a surgery to have the cyst removed from both of my ovaries. My husband and I suffered 2 miscarriages since our marriage in 2003 and after bravelle shots 3x's a day, metformin, chlomid, and serious exercise, we decided that we were emotionally drained. Our Dr. recommended I go off the bcp for awhile and let my ovaries take a break, this worked for my hormone levels but still no ovualtion. I have met several women with pcos who have conceived healthy, beautiful babies.. my godson's being 2 of the 8, so I am hoping that with alot of prayer and patience 2008 will be our year.My husband and I have made a promise to eachother that we will take it one step at a time. One thing that I will say to all of you going through the same thing: Remember that your husband is going through the same emotions as you, don't use him as a batting cage. My husband and I read books about Pcos together and he goes with me to every Dr.'s appt. He is my journal, he lets the dr. know about hoe the medicine effects me/us. It has helped me to keep my stress levels low and look at this disease in a different light. Let's stick together, for anyone who is at my stage or coming close, let's chat.

re: Q: Can I get PG if I have PCOS?

I have been trying to get pregnant for a little over a year. I have PCOS and have been taking clomid for the last 4 months, including this one. I have lost 20 lbs since April and was told (because I am overweight) that weight loss would be a good idea. It is frustrating that I am not pregnant yet and to make things worse, I am surrounded by people with babies or pregnant people. 3 just had babies, 2 are about to have babies, and another 3 just found out they were pregnant. Not sure what to do!

Q&A: Can I get pregnant if I have PCOS?

I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2006. I just got married in May and my husband and I are TTC. I was on Metfomin (which never sat well on my stomach) and put on YAZ for a few years. I stopped taking the pill in May and have since had very regular peroids. I go to the OB in 2 days to have everything checked out again. I did a lot of research on the subject and it seems that weight is a symptom and cause. I gained about 60lbs in a year and was told that if I lost that weight it could help with the diabetes, thyroid problems, high BP and everything else associated with PCOS. Stress never helps either. Nature has a funny way of working sometimes...best of luck to all of you (and myself) I am going to stay positive no matter what!!!

Q&A: Can I get pregnant if I have PCOS?

I personally wouldn't recommend trying anything without either asking your doctor or talking to someone that knows something about different hormones. If you start taking something if could do further damage. Unless you know for sure you have a deficiency I wouldn't start taking anything.

Q&A: Can I get pregnant if I have PCOS?

I am currentl;y undergoing all of the tests to see why I am not ovulating. Unfortunately, my gut feeling is telling me I have PCOS. I have very oily skin all of a sudden, have gained weight (especially around my middle) and have serious hair growth (which makes me feel manly). I just had an HSG yesterday and with all o fmy worry, it was really nothing. I didn't have a lot of pain and it was interesting seeing my uterus and fallopian tubes. We don't have any results on any tests yet, but I just have a feeling it is goign to go this way. I am trying very hard to stay positive and have a good attitude, but after trying for almost a year, my positivity is waning. I feel guilty that my body is working against me and it is just making things worse. However, reading all of these stories gives me an opportunity to find people with whom I can relate. Everyone around me is either pregnant or has babies and they keep asking me when we are goign to have one. Every time I hear that question it is like a little knife in my heart. I am hoping that whatever the problem is, I am diagnosed and can at least plan my treatment. There are just no guarantees in this life, but I am trying to keep my chin up, no matter what. I have always believed in "what is meant to be, will be." This is my constant mantra...thank you all for sharing, it makes me feel as if I am not alone!

Q&A: Can I get pregnant if I have PCOS?

I always had irregular periods all through High School but after a year of being married and did not conceive I begin to get worried. I went to a feritility specialist and she informed me that I had PCOS. She put me on prometrium to make my cycle come. on and put me on clomid. That was not working so she than put me on metformin with clomid. After a year of doctor visits and medication I still have not become pregnant. I stop the medicine because it was making me sick. Should I try again?

I have had irregular periods for quite sum time. I saw my doctor and she checked my hormone levels...hormones were normal. however my liver counts were elevated...I went under an ultra sound to check my liver...thank God everything was normal again. She then put me on Metformin to help me lose weight. I took only 500mg a day yet it I hated the way it made me feel. I always felt weak and like i was about to lose my balance. So I stopped taking the met. I still have no cycle. I'm thinking I should just continue taking the met...can anyone relate to this?

Q&A: Can I get pregnant if I have PCOS?

I have had PCOS since I was 16. In the last few years I have been working out regularly and keeping my weight under control with weight watchers, which is supposed to help. I was on birth control for 10 years, and went off last summer. I didn't get a period after 3 months, so my doctor put me on Metformin 500 mg twice a day, and when that didn't do anything after a month, we went to 1000mg twice a day of Metformin. I got a surprise period after 2 months, and sometime during month after that, we got pregnant! I'm now about 6 weeks along, so it's still very early, but at least I know it can happen! Clomid was going to be the next step for us, but Metformin worked by itself. Good luck!

Q&A: Can I get pregnant if I have PCOS?

We have been trying for four years now, with no luck . In february iI decided to go back to the doctor and try and get this pcos thing under control. I was so determined to get pregnant. My doctor told me that there was no reason that I could not get pregnant. She told me that I would just give a more difficult time with trying. (as though I didn't already know that). But she gave me hope so here I am now on two glyburide a day ( couldn't take metformin) and just started my first cycle with clomind. I know that the glyburide is doing its job because for the first time in my life I stared my cycle on the scheduled day. That has never happened.... So I am hoping that this will work for me.. It is so hard to want a child and not be able to have one. Its as though when you really get serious about trying that everyone and everything around you gives a constant reminder that they had/have one and you dont. Or atleast it feels that way. Having pcos, as a woman is very difficult.... But there is hope we have to believe that. so I wish all of you luck and I will keep you posted

Q&A: Can I get pregnant if I have PCOS?

I was diagnosed w/ PCOS when i was 13 (yes 13) ovarian cysts run in my family so when my period never regulated my mom marched me off to her OB/GYN and i've been on BC ever since. 21 years later I'm now TTC. I went to my gyn for my yearly and had them recomend a reproductive endocrinologist (fertility doc) right away. I've always known i was going to have problems TTC so going strait to the specialist was the right thing to do. (for me) Every body is different and all situations aren't the same. If your OB/GYN diagnoses you with PCOS ask for a fertility doc referral. Go to that ferility doc and have them do as many tests on you as they can (this will probably also include checking your hormone levels and checking your partners sperm count) It's important to know what you are working with and what's the best way to "move forward" in your particular situation. (especially if you are in your 30's and 40's) Have your doc explain every test and why he/she is doing that test and after all the results are in, review your options and next steps. i can not stress enough that EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT hearing one persons horror stories and another persons "i got knocked up in two months" story can be distracting you are an individual and you have the power to know what's going on with your own body. Some doctors are lazy and will just toss pills at you cause it's easy...don't let that happen to you. Know more about you're body and what you can do to achieve your goals. It is hard for PCOS women to conceive but not impossible for all. There are a lot of solutions to help you conceive. Be positive don't stress and take control of your healthcare.

Q&A: Can I get pregnant if I have PCOS?

I was also diagnosed with PCOS when I was very young - 12 or 13 - and was on the pill for more than a decade before deciding to take myself off. Surprisingly, I was fairly regular for the next few years - but did have two very large ovarian cysts in that time period (one was the size of a peach and ruptured, and omg was that painful!) I've definitely noticed a correlation between my weight gains and loses over the years and how regular I am, so I always assumed I'd need to lose weight and see a specialist when it was time to get pregnant. I want to thank all of you for your stories. I never thought it would be impossible for me to get pregnant - just that it would take a little extra time, work, and money on my part. DH and I have been trying for almost a year, and I have an appointment in a few weeks to get the ball rolling with the GYN and possibly the RE. I wish all of you the best of luck - I know how frustrating it can be!!

Q&A: Can I get pregnant if I have PCOS?

I was diagnosed with PCOS after two years of pain and discomfort in my abdomen. At first my doctor thought it was my Gallbladder and sent me to see a surgeon on two different occasions (long story). The last surgeon wasn't convinced that it was the gallbladder so he wanted me to go see an OB. After seeing the OB and having tests done he diagnosed me with PCOS. This was news to me and to my husband. We had put TTC on hold until we figured out what was going on. Now that we know my OB put me on Metformin and my first round of Clomid. I go in tomm. (July 16th) for my day 28 progesterone test and preg. test...here's hoping(fingers crossed).

Q&A: Can I get pregnant if I have PCOS?

There are various drugs to help manager your PCOS and to help with pregnancy. But don't forget diet and exercise. Eating a diet low on the glycemic index and getting regular exercise are a big help. You'll be surprised how your body will respond. I've used every help I can get just to try and get a regular cycle ( I ovulated once after stopping birthcontrol and then had nothing for months after that, and got a PCOS diagnosis 6 months later). I'm on metformin, but I've also cut out all refined carbs and make sweets a once a week treat. I also try to exercise most days of the week. I've also looked to eastern medicine and started working with an accupuncturist. Today I got a positive pregnancy test. I know the rate of miscarriage in women w/ PCOS is high so my fingers are crossed, but no matter what happens this is progress and shows it is possible. If you treat your body right it will surprise you!

Q&A: Can I get pregnant if I have PCOS?

How were you diagnosed with PCOS? Was it a combination of blood tests and an ultrasound? I started having irregular periods in late 2008 and was diagnosed with PCOS after an ultrasound showed multiple cysts on my ovaries. The thing is.. I am at a healthy weight (110 lbs at 5'3) and I eat right (normal blood sugar levels) and exercise. My husband and I have been TTC for a year now with no luck. Just wondering if there are other women out there who are healthy with no weight issues and still were told they have PCOS. =/

Q&A: Can I get pregnant if I have PCOS?

Yup. I wasn't overweight. I think only 40-60% (sorry I really can't remember) who are diagnosed with PCOS are overweight. Even though you're not overweight you may find that changes in diet and exercise still help. Try to get daily exercise and if you're willing try to cut all of the bad stuff out of your diet for a month or two (refined carbs, sugar, caffeine, and sometimes even removing dairy will help). It's worth trying to eat a diet low on the glycemic index. You may be surprised with the results.

Q&A: Can I get pregnant if I have PCOS?

I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 22 years old. I started out having sporadic periods and the periods I would have would last for about 30 days. After about 2 years of that I went down to only having a one period a year, however, this year I have had a period at once a month for the last 4-5 months. I have not discussed this with my OBGYN (I’m afraid of what he might say) but does anyone know if you can still have PCOS and still have regular periods?

Q&A: Can I get pregnant if I have PCOS?

I was diagnosed with PCOS at age 15 after I had my hormones checked prior to antidepressants. I have taken glucophage/metformin for 8 years now (same dose!). After I got married this June I started seeing a new endocrinologist who changed my dose (she increased it to twice a day). After a few months of "guessing" the timing of ovulation, I decided to try the ovulation tests. Voila - we were pregnant on the first month of trying. There is hope - I had worried from age 15 till now that I too wouldn't be able to get pregnant.

My husband and I have been ttc since June 2009. I was told that I had pcos, but we refused clomid and other treatments. In December of 2010, I started to exercise regularly, changed prenatal vitamins to New Chapter Organics, and added the New Chapter Fish Oil with DHA. I am happy to report that after a year and a half (and within a month of these changes), we found out we were pregnant yesterday. Don't give up hope.

Q&A: Can I get pregnant if I have PCOS?

I was diagnosed at the age of 19 with pcos. I had been married for a year and we were having trouble concieving. I always have had problems with my period. It would stay away for a long time then hit with avengence. I finally went to the doc after i had been bleeding for 70 days and thats when they told me. I started taking prometrium and clomid but never got preg. This was all in 2003. In 2009 I started taking yaz because i was gaining weight and my acne was running wild.I ended up stopping them after about 6 months and in Oct 2009 i had a surpise BFP. I would also miscarry in Oct at around 5-6 weeks. My obgyn wanted me to heal and come back in Jan. SO we started the prometrium and clomid again. Feb i did 50 mg of clomid and used opks and nothing happened. March i did 100 mg clomid and i was ovulating :) April i recieved anoth BFP and i am proud to say I had a baby boy in Dec 2010. The doc said he thinks the BCP really helped because my ovaries were completely cleared out. So never give up and remember u have plenty of time :) It took me and my husband 8 1/2 years but we have our baby :)

Q&A: Can I get pregnant if I have PCOS?

YES you can!! I just found out I'm PG and I have PCOS!! We did IUI twice and this last time we did the injections (first time we did Clomid) and it worked!! I had 7 mature follicles and now we're PG! I can hardly believe it! My best advice - educate yourself/be your own advocate, find a good Reproductive Endocrinologist, make healthy lifestyle changes in diet/exercise (I lost 30 lbs in about 5 months doing Jillian Michael's 30-day shred and following her eating plan in "Master your Metabolism"), do the injections and IUI. And pray A LOT! : ) Keep your hopes up!

Q&A: Can I get pregnant if I have PCOS?

I was told I have PCOS and my husband has a low sperm count. My OB/GYN put me on metformin and has told me that I now have to go see a fertility specialist. We go on Tuesday. Are there specific questions I should be asking? We are both kind of nervous! Don't really know what to ask or expect from our consultation.

Q&A: Can I get pregnant if I have PCOS?

I was just diagnosed 3 months ago with pcos; not knowing what exactly i was dealing with i went home and researched the death out of this syndrome. 4 months before my diagnoses i had a miscarrage of 17 weeks....we were deviastated! we never got answers as to what happened but hoping to get pregnant again and move forward from the loss. a couple weeks after my diagnoses i found out i was pregnant, excited but guarded we were thrilled. 2 weeks later we lost the pregnancy....again we were crushed! now i am on birth control pills for 2 months to regulate and to rest my body and also no metformin. i am hoping this is going to do the trick and we will hopefully start the new year with a happy and healthy pregnacy. its hard to stay positive when you have been through 2 losses so close together......any advice????

Q&A: Can I get pregnant if I have PCOS?

I have a child which i conceived naturally, however i was diagnosed with PCOS after I had her, and have been trying to get pregnant with my husband and I's second child. A friend had recommended that I try ConceiveEasy by FertiBella. It is really a great product and it works! Sure you can go to a fertility specialist but why waste all that money? The ConceiveEasy kit also comes with 10 free ovulation kits (to know when and if your ovulating) and 10 free pregnancy tests. You should really check it out, it definitely work, I'm due with out second baby boy in December. :)

Q&A: Can I get pregnant if I have PCOS?

My partner and I have been trying for a baby for over two years now, We were going to a fertility clinic for about 5 months before somebody told us to contact this spell caster who is so powerful, We contacted him at this email; mokospellcaster@gmail.com , for him to help us, then we told him our problem, he told us that she we either conceive in January 2013 or February 2013,but after two years of trying we were at a point where we were willing to try anything. And I'm glad we came to Dr Moko, Because he predictions put us at ease, and I honestly believe him, and his gods really helped us as well, I am thankful for all he has done.

Q&A: Can I get pregnant if I have PCOS?

I have PCOS as well and have been told I could get pregnant. However, I have been TTC for about 3 years. I have been on Metformin for about 1 1/2 and still nothing. My doctor has asked me to loose about 20 lbs and then if that doesn't help, I will be put on other medications. I'm still not loosing hope but it is a long road!

Q&A: Can I get pregnant if I have PCOS?

Yes, you can get pregnant if you have PCOS, probably half of our practice are PCOS patients. Not everyone that has PCOS has insulin resistance..if that is the case, Meformin is not necessary. However, it is necessary to possibly suppress the adrogens at the front end of the cycle and a reproductive endocrinologist can help you with that. Note: Not everyone that is diagnosed with PCOS has PCOS...I have seen that more times than I can count. Just be sure you get a second opinion.
