YouTube: The Latest in Pregnancy Announcements Photo: Thinkstock / The Knot
When you found out you were pregnant, whom did you tell first? Your husband? Parents? How about everyone in cyberspace? Yep, that’s what 12,000 women did when they uploaded videos of their pregnancy tests to YouTube. Although these kinds of videos seem to be trending, psychologists are skeptical that it’s healthy to post them, since your emotions and privacy are on full display to, well, everyone. But some new mamas enjoy the sense of community that comes with sharing this private information with others. We’re all for online communities (we are The Bump, after all!), but be sure to tell the most important people in your life first before the rest of the world finds out -- and by the looks of it, they’re dying to know!
What do you think? Would you upload your pregnancy test results to YouTube?
