Doctors May Ban Moms From Knowing Baby’s Gender Photo: Veer
We recently conducted an informal poll, and 80 percent of Bumpies responded that they “had to find out” the gender of their babies prebirth, which is why we think it’s so wild that doctors at public hospitals in Europe could be banned from telling moms-to-be their baby’s sex. Sound crazy? Well, according to The Telegraph, a Council of Europe committee is proposing the ban for several reasons: One is that they believe some potential parents in a few countries might be “selectively aborting” their babies based on their genders. The other is that the gender reveal increases appointment time to 30 minutes instead of 20, which ultimately costs more money. We’ll be watching to see if a ban happens.
What do you think -- does banning prebirth gender reveals make sense? Or is it totally crazy?
