Does Having a Pregnant Wife Make an Indiscretion Worse? Photo: AP Photo / The Bump
By now you’ve heard of US Representative Anthony Weiner’s dirty tweet heard round the world (well, maybe it was more like the country, but still everyone’s talking about it). After the congressman admitted to sending an explicit photo of himself (more specifically, his tight-underwear-clad crotch) to one woman and it was revealed he’s had online communications with at least five more, some have suggested he resign from office. But now, The New York Times is reporting that his wife, Huma Abedin, is in the early stages of pregnancy, and some news sources are calling the news “game-changing.” They’re suggesting that being a dad-to-be makes what he did even worse and now he really should step down. We’re not sure how we feel about this. We mean, husbands aren’t supposed to send crotch pics to women whether their wives are pregnant or not, but knowing he did this could further damage his reputation in some people’s eyes, making them unwilling to trust him as a representative. What do you think?
Does the fact that Weiner’s wife is pregnant make what he did worse?
