It’s a (Big) Boy! Photo: Shutterstock / The Bump
“The Moose” may be the nickname doctors gave to the healthy, but large -- a whopping 16 pounds, 1 ounce and measuring 2 feet long -- baby boy born on July 8 in Texas, but his proud parents, Janet Johnson and Michael Brown, prefer to call him JaMichael. According to MSNBC, JaMichael Brown may be the biggest baby born in Texas history (he couldn’t even fit in the diapers provided by the hospital!). Doctors estimated that JaMichael was around the size of a six-month-old when he was born, which raises some concerns. Babies born that large are at a greater risk for obesity and high blood pressure. In JaMichael’s case, doctors believe that mom Janet’s diabetes may have contributed to his hefty size. Janet says that JaMichael is her fourth and last child, and the family can’t wait to show off their big (literally!) bundle of joy to family and friends!
