The Secret to Getting Your Picky Eater to Chow Down
The toddler and preschool years can be all about getting your kid to eat something…anything…even remotely healthy. Got a picky eater? Lay off the pressure, say researchers at Appalachian State University. In a study, the researchers tracked data on preschoolers and found that those who weren’t pressured by their parents to eat were likely to eat larger quantities of food than those who were pressured. So we know it goes against your better judgment, but if you want your tot to eat his broccoli, maybe try not telling him to -- just give him some and let him make up his own mind. Who knows, maybe he’ll bite.
