How Much Is Mom Worth? $61,000 a Year Says Site Photo: Veer
We all know being a mom is a full-time job, but what if we were paid a salary for all the mommying we were doing (you know, in dollars, not hugs, kisses and construction-paper art)? In honor of Mother’s Day, Insure.com calculated just how much mom is worth this year, with all the cooking (at $9.53 an hour), accounting (at $23.83 an hour) and private investigating (at $19.78 an hour) we do. The grand total came to $61,436 per year.
Wouldn’t that be some nice extra cash to have lying around? Somehow, though, hugs, kisses and construction-paper art still do the trick.
Do you think that’s an accurate estimate of mom’s worth?
We know you deserve a gift (or twenty!), so check out our Mother's Day Gift Guide.
