Two-Headed Baby Born in Brazil!
Imagine finding out just minutes before you’re about to deliver that your baby has a really unusual abnormality. That’s what happened to 25-year-old Maria de Nazare from Brazil. The UK’s Daily Mail reports that she gave birth to a baby boy with two heads on December 19. De Nazare was from a rural part of the country, so she did not have any ultrasounds during her pregnancy and originally thought she was expecting twins.
The babies were delivered via c-section and were in good health. According to reports, they share a heart, lungs, liver and pelvis, but have two brains and two spines. De Nazare named them Emanoel and Jesus.
Surprisingly, this isn’t the first time a two-headed baby was born in Brazil this year. Another woman gave birth, but the baby died a few hours after delivery because one of the children’s heads wasn’t getting enough oxygen.
So crazy, right?! What do you think of this birth story?
