Mom Induces Labor So Baby Could Meet Her Dying 10-Year-Old Sister
A UK woman decided to induce her labor so her dying 10-year-old daughter could meet her newborn sister. According to UK’s Daily Mail, Paula Holmes delivered a baby girl, Scarlet, three weeks early so that her 10-year-daughter Katy would be sure to meet her sister. Katy was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor in October 2011. Because Katy’s parents told she only had about six to nine months to live, they decided to go with an induction -- and Holmes’ doctors had given her the okay. The family is currently looking to meet with a Australian medical expert to see if there’s anything else they can do to save Katy.
For now, the family says that Katy loves Scarlet and has a special bond with her. We wish Katy and her family the best!
