Breastfeeding Flash Mob? Yeah, It Happened!
Photo: realbirthstories / YouTube We’ve all seen those viral videos of flash mobs all over the world consisting of people dancing in the streets (and in train stations and malls). On December 15, moms in Brighton, UK decided to get a breastfeeding flash mob together in response to being asked to stop nursing in public at one point or another, according to Huffington Post. This isn’t the first flash mob or public event where moms fought back. Women in cities like London and Manchester staged similar events for National Breastfeeding Awareness Week in June. And let’s not forget about the “nurse-in” last June in Illinois that was planned after a woman was told to stop breastfeeding her daughter in a store.
Will breastfeeding sit-ins be a big trend in 2012? What do you think -- is it weird or cool?
