Whoa! Your Guy’s Laptop Could Make Him Infertile
Yikes! Wi-Fi might be messing with your partner’s sperm. A new study in Fertility and Sterility suggests that laptops with Wi-Fi can make sperm weak. Scientists took semen samples from 29 men and put a few drops under a laptop that was connected to Wi-Fi. After four hours, they found that 25% of the sperm weren’t moving, compared to only 14% in sperm stored at the same temperature away from a laptop. Researchers also found that 9% of the sperm had DNA damage as well. They believe that electromagnetic radiation from the Wi-Fi had a negative effect on sperm quality, but aren’t sure if all laptops computers with Wi-Fi have the same effect and will need to do further research on the subject.
Do you think laptops with Wi-Fi could affect sperm quality? Would you consider making your guy cut down on his W-Fi use?
