Marcia Cross Doesn’t Recommend Getting Pregnant after 40 -- Really?
Photo: Frazer Harrison / Getty Images Desperate Housewives star Marcia Cross became a mom at age 45 after undergoing fertility treatments -- and seems like an awesome mother. So we were shocked to hear that she doesn’t recommend others follow her suit. According to UK’s Daily Mail, the actress told Easy Living magazine, “Your forties is not the time to be thinking about getting pregnant.” Marcia, who gave birth to twins Eden and Savannah via emergency c-section, had a difficult pregnancy. She developed preeclampsia and was put on bed rest during the last weeks of her pregnancy.
And while pregnancy and motherhood late in life may have been difficult for Marcia, she still counts herself lucky, she told the magazine,“It’s a miracle I have these two daughters.”
While some people might be taken aback by Marcia’s comments, we appreciate her honesty. But we’re still rooting for everyone trying to get pregnant at any age!
