No Baby Talk for Neil Patrick Harris
Photo: CBS / YouTube There’s no “Goo-goo ga-ga” in Neil Patrick Harris and partner David Burtka’s house. NPH told People that he doesn’t talk to his 15-month-old twins, Harper and Gideon, in baby voices. Why the rule? Because NPH’s parents didn’t use baby talk with him and his brother. “I don’t talk down to them in baby talk,” he told People. “I try to talk to them even though they can’t speak the language yet.”
NPH also spilled on the twins’ personalities and said they’re in a “huggy, clingy” phase right now, which he says, “brightens up a sad day every single time.”
What do you think of NPH’s parenting approach? Do you use baby talk at home?
