The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Health Canada and Britax have recalled about 20,000 of Britax’s B-Nimble strollers owing to reported brake failures that cause the stroller to move unexpectedly, even when parents think the brake is in place. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported, but Britax has received seven reports of brake failures and is urging consumers to stop using the strollers immediately. This recall applies to B-Nimble umbrella strollers (of all colors) manufactured after August 1, 2010, with model numbers U311771, U311773, U311775 and U311780. You'll find the model number on the lower frame of the stroller. The strollers cost about $200, and if you have one of the recalled models, contact Britax to request a replacement at (888) 427-4829 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, or visit the official site at BritaxUSA.com.
