Your Baby: Week 30
Baby's understanding of your reactions is rapidly developing. He might start testing you to see what he can get away with, but don't treat him like a defiant teen -- he's curious, not malicious. He also can't remember what you tell him for more than a few seconds at a time. The only discipline he needs right now is a simple "no" followed by some distraction. Baby is starting to understand that objects have different shapes and sizes. He may enjoy stacking blocks (or knocking them down after you stack them) and playing with toys that have components that can be fit into each other.

[ tip ] Rough day at work? Take a few minutes alone to decompress before entering your home. Baby will pick up on any irritation you're feeling and make you both even more cranky.
