Jairus

Jairus is a boy's name of Hebrew origin that means "God enlightens." In the Christian Bible, Jairus was the ruler in the synagogue at Capernaum and a religious leader in his community. To try to help his daughter, who was ill, Jairus begged Jesus for help and to heal her. Sadly, his daughter died while they were making their way to Jairus' home but Jesus resurrected her, showing love and mercy.
